    Balancing Pool Chemicals

I added liquid chlorine at 830pm, tested FC at 10pm at 8.5. Tested this morning at 6am and FC is 7.0. CC is still 1, closer to 0.75 if I could measure. SLAM in process. CYA is 50.

    Balancing Pool Chemicals

I was able to get FC up to 5 but CC still 1. Pool still a bit cloudy. Ph up to 7.5 and Ta 180. Should I raise FC higher with more liquid chlorine overnight tonight?

    TF-100 Results

Morning All, dumped 2 gallons of 10% in last night then tested 15min later. FC measured 5.5 or 11 drops while shaking to turn clear. This morning, 8hrs later, FC measured 1.5.

    TF-100 Results

Awesome that does help. I'll add a half gallon tonight, 10pm or so and test 10min after. If it drops should I add again until it's stable?

    TF-100 Results

Good deal, I'll go get some 10% liquid chlorine from lowes this morning and perform the test tonight. Any estimate on how much I might need to get my FC up?

    TF-100 Results

Yes, 0 FC now. I added nearly 20 gallons of 10% two weeks ago as advised by the pool store stating I had traces of ammonia. FC shot up close to 10 but dropped over time as I added 1 gallon every 10 min then tested. Held at 3ppm overnight but has since shown 0.

    TF-100 Results

Morning All, I posted strip results 2 weeks ago and was told I needed a TF-100, needless to say I'm the proud owner! Here are my results, pool looks great but really eats through chlorine (nearly a 3" puck every 2 days.) I have never really had consistent FC readings on my strips either. PH...

Ammonia in pool, no FC reading

Lol added 4 Gallons at a time, tested every 10min and it took 20 gallons to finally hit 10FC for the last 4 tests. CYA is 30-50, closer to the low end. Ph 7.2

Ammonia in pool, no FC reading

They did not say anything about that, just told me to drain them being a test sample back. If ammonia levels are less than 4, they would sell me 8 gallons of liquid chlorine.

Ammonia in pool, no FC reading

Cloudy pool, ammonia measuring 5. I have been asked to drain 25% of the pool to get ammonia level down then to add 8 gallons of 10% liquid chlorine? Thoughts?
