That worked!!! I don't have access on the "Local" connection (That died shortly after install), but I do have access on the "Remote" connection along with access on my PC. Thanks to all very much for all the help and suggestions. I appreciate it very much. Cheers Dennis

Since the controller is visible now, I think Pentair can trouble shoot the problem.

I can access the controls on my iPhone now, but the program still won't start on the computer. I am afraid to touch anything now!!!!

So after hooking the adapter back up to the router it suddenly appears in the start-up menu, which it hadn't done before. But the program won't start, I assume I need to Configure IP info?

DHCP is enabled on the router

Tried the above step. Reply from 192.168.1.2 Destination host unreachable x 4 Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss)

That's how the system is set up. One cable to router WAN port, then everything else plugged in downstream. 3 other devices on the network work just fine. Just not the Protocol Adapter.

Pentair says the unit is bad. I am skeptical as it was working 2 weeks ago and then last week briefly when I set up the old configuration up with my old modem. I was able update the adapter at that time. Now it won't work. Before I run out and drop $500 to replace a 2 year old part, is there...

Yes I did. I am going to use my laptop to see if I can ping the adapter. Maybe its bad? It was working 2 weeks ago, so I don't think it is, but you never know.

I got a EdgeRouterX and set it up. All devices work on the network (PC/Google Mesh, etc), but the protocol adapter still returns the same error.

The "Gigabit" router I had (that was simple to set up) was throttling the download speed. The one that could handle the download speed I couldn't set up. But there has to be one I can use. Thanks
