    Explorer 30

Good to know about the filters. I am returning mine so I hope you have better luck. I was very excited to get another. I did see a video on here of something to try if they keep shutting off--I thought about trying it--but mine seems to have other issues too (not climbing etc...) so I'm going to...

    Explorer 30

The Explorer 30 (all black)? Or active 20? I'm in the process of returning mine (Explorer 30). I'm undecided if I'll give up on robots or not. I also noticed on mine that I only received the basket, and not the corrugated fine filter (which is what I really needed). I'm thinking mine was a prior...

    Explorer 30

I FINALLY decided to purchase another robot (my last one didn't even make it 2 seasons). I called Marina Pool and they recommended the Explorer 30 (it was among the only ones left). This model is best described as a gutless wonder. I opened the box and it had a lemon smell--odd...seems like it...

    Suction Side Vacuum question

Hello helpful members! I have a question regarding my suction side pool vacuum. I do have a robot, but I tend to use the suction cleaner through the cooler/colder months. I've always just manually turned it on every day or two. I'd like to set up a program for it to go on its own--but here is...

    Jandy Actuator not working

Yes, that is set up. Valve A is the water feature (which works fine) and B is the "Cleaner" which is not engaging the pump. Under pump speeds, the "water feature" is set to 2310 and the "cleaner" is set to 2000.

    Jandy Actuator not working

Just a follow-up. We did discover that the new rotary switch is the culprit for the valve not working--so we are working on that part.... BUT....I still have one issue and I'm certain it HAS to be programming---I'm really hoping one of you may have some ideas as I've watched about every video on...

    Jandy Actuator not working

Reset did nothing. There is some disconnect....somewhere....I'm sure it's so simple. ugh! I had an electrician out shortly before I noticed the issues, but I'm not sure if he changed anything -he was testing another issue on the pool cover. I do have a device on the cover that will PREVENT the...

    Jandy Actuator not working

No, It's not in service mode--I did check that. I think I'll try the reset button, I didn't try that because I was afraid that was the "start over" button that I selected last time (and all of my settings were lost).

    Jandy Actuator not working

Thank you for your reply. I don't think the programming has been messed with--but it is totally possible. The speeds seem to still work--as the waterfall requires a higher pump speed, and it does recognize that--and the pump moves higher RPM (that's after I press the "pump" button--in addition...

    Jandy Actuator not working

My Jandy actuator is not working as it was before. Normally, if I wanted to run the cleaner (suction side cleaner) I simply click that button (assigned auxiliary) and it would move the valve and the pump would turn on (same with my waterfall). Now, the valve will move, for example, I click the...

Pool Cover Safety switch for waterfall

Multiple phone calls allowed me to figure out what it was called. I thought I'd post it here if it may help anyone else. We have the Micro-Rotary Encoder Limit Switch (Latham/Coverstar). It does have batteries, but they are supposed to last 10 years. It prevents the waterfall or spill valve...

Pool Cover Safety switch for waterfall

It's too dark now, it's just a small black box with 1 wire, the box is mounted to the cover opposite the motor, the wire travels down to the motor. The box has a button on the top, which if memory serves, that was a reset. It learns the number of rotaions so it knows if the cover is open...

Pool Cover Safety switch for waterfall

Hey there! We installed our pool a few years ago, and I added a coverstar pool cover to it. Since we have waterfalls, I added a safety switch that prevents the waterfall valve from turning on if the cover is in the "closed" position (obviously to prevent accidentally pressing the waterfall and...

set up for Kreepy Krauly suction

We were the builder :D but we did have 2 electricians, one we fired and the other one was very good, but not a pool specialty electrician, so it was one of the two (and yes, neither one would know how to fix it). Strangely, the other valve always worked fine. We have it set on a button to...

set up for Kreepy Krauly suction

OMG...IT WORKED. It think I'm going to cry! You were right on. It WAS wired to the intake/return. So he took the intake and put it to valve B but he left the Return since that seems to do what it's supposed to (it runs the sheer descents and that valve turns properly) although we haven't...
