Ok well I got through it last weekend and monday through wednesday i had to have my Wife turn chlorinator down to 30 percent because the Cl was getting too high. Was a great feeling.
Then today i come home to no Cl again even though i had Wife turn cell up to 100 percent. I had no bleach...
Not sure if this is normal or not, seems like it is but i am desperate to figure this out. If i look right in front of pool lights i can see a bit of cloudiness in the water. Can only see it right in front of the lights. Could that be algae that i just cant see in any way except passing in...
I do have nitrates but no nitrites or ammonia to consume chlorine so i figure those are just there to stay. 5 to 10 ppm on some test strips the pool store let me borrow.
Water temp actually climbed to 91 today when i tested. I borrowed nitrate test strips from pool store and i do have...
I dont have it in front of me but i did that earlier today. My readings gave me the potential corrosive message. From latest tests i entered 4 free and total chlorine, salt was 3600, CH was 200, CYA 50, ph 7.4, TA 90.
I brought CYA up to 50. I actually exchanged salt cell because at this point i dont know what else it could be. I passed the overnight test so its not organics/algae. What is really strange is that even with the new cell at 100 percent it cant keep chlorine over 1 ppm. I also still notice a...
Actually, I got a wide range when the problem first started the test strips were 2900, cell read 3200, and two seperate pool stores with the meter read 3500 and 3600. I was not sure which was right.
I never knew that was a way to tell. Good information. Its been as much as 300 ppm difference from time to time but i didnt check that regularly as i usually kept my salt levels stable.
Again, just assuming the cell was not producing because at 100 percent all day and night it was not able...
Have not checked today but yesterday is was 3600 and instant was 3500. I drained a little and added fresh water last night to get instant down to 3200. My salt has risen daily as I've added liquid chlorine. Its been a struggle bringing down salt every 3-4 days. Reason we think its bad is it...
Hello, I'm sure this has been addressed but could not find a specific post in the forum. I have struggled with chlorine in the pool for weeks and tried everything but cell replacement. My pool company agrees there may be an issue and says I have to replace it with a GLX-Cell-15-W. The...
