    OmniLogic one-month review

Latest firmware is still from last year however I updated to that latest version about a month ago. It did seem to make the system update its status to the app quicker than it did on the previous version.

    OmniLogic one-month review

Keep in mind that the Omni cannot control the CL 4.0 lights through any method other than the current relay chattering. With the new module it will be able to control the UCL lights but only the network version of those lights. - - - Updated - - - Also keep in mind that even when the new...

It's dead simple. At least the plumbing is.

Convert to VSP and keep wet end or upgrade?

Sounds like one heck of a pool! Quite a setup. I'm very involved with my Omni however my knowledge of plumbing and pumps is limited. I can tell you that if you want a display and more horsepower the Ecostar is the way to go. If you don't mind not having the display I'd go with the Tristar...

    ORP and chlorine

I didn't really expect an explanation but thanks chemgeek. I don't use ORP for chlorination control but I have the probe so I capture the data. You can see my bleach pump dosing in the graph. Each on cycle of the bleach pump represents 17.3 oz of 10% bleach being added. Has no affect at all on...

    ORP and chlorine

I just kind of found this graph interesting with respect to ORP and chlorine. I don't use a SWG, I use bleach. You can see where my bleach pump cuts on and it seems to have no affect on ORP. Time of day sure does though.

    Omnilogic Questions

For anyone interested, here's my latest graphing from the Omni. Live version can be seen here: Live Graph What I find very interesting is the ORP. You can see from the graph that the ORP tends to change from the amount of sunlight. This pool receives no shade. When the bleach pump comes on...

Convert to VSP and keep wet end or upgrade?

You'd have to ask one of the pump experts on the efficiency. I'm not qualified to answer that. I've just had quite a bit of experience with the Omni and these two pumps. I finally tweaked my ecostar and figured out that for my pool 21% speed is the minimum I can run and still trigger the flow...

Convert to VSP and keep wet end or upgrade?

Keep in mind that the ONLY Tristar VS pump that will work with Omni Logic is the SP3202VSPND. They specifically released this pump for Omni. This version of the Tristar doesn't have a display either. It's assumed it will always be controlled by the Omni. I've never had a 2 speed pump but I...

New in-ground pool - Boston, MA. Lots of pics

Take a good look at it when it's done. I wish I had made more of a fuss about it at the time they were doing it, but I have some areas where they didn't do a very good job of revealing the aggregate. They should have washed off more of the plaster in those areas. I've now got that as a "clean...

New in-ground pool - Boston, MA. Lots of pics

Found spool's build thread after he PM'd me about the plaster color. I've got to say up until now I'd not seen another pool I liked better than mine. Of course, I designed it. :) But this one is going to be gorgeous. I'm jealous! Love the pavers and the tile. I think the Deep Sea Blue...

Low pH - what to do?

I have a ph probe on my sense and dispense which has so far matched all my testing. It was reporting 6.4. I tested and the color guestimate seemed pretty close to the same. PB texted back saying they were using acid to clean the tile and not to worry about it. So it seems to be a result of them...
