    Hayward pump pulling air somewhere

Fixed it!!! I pulled out the pine cones and leave buildup, changed out the ball valve, pvc pipe, and elbow. I had to glue in a union to make up for the length cut out of the hose when replacing the above. The hose is apparently spa hose and can be glued similar to rigid pvc. Thanks everyone...

I used pvc cement to connect pvc pipe with the elbow as well as with the pump, but now that I'm connecting a flexible hose with pvc elbow, do I switch away from pvc cement? Do I use this silicone sealant instead?

I fished them out with a hook on the end of a hanger. Hopefully I got them all. Not sure if this was my issue all along. It surely slowed my flow as I noticed but it doesn't explain the air bubbles.

I could suck them with a shop vac maybe? Duct tape the end to the hose.

Went to change out the ball valve and 90 degree elbow and I see this! I never had an issue with pinecones before this season as they began clogging my creeper vac. Now how do I reliably get them all? I will try to reach the close ones but who knows how many are down there.

    Hayward pump pulling air somewhere

My suction side setup is pretty simple in that I just have one ball valve between the pump and the skimmer. I previously lubed the oring but that didn't work. What would you guys do if you wanted to troubleshoot it further? I took some pics so you can see. Would you replace the oring?(how would...

Oh one more thing: I've noticed the pump lid is a lot harder to open like a lot of pressure keeping it on tight. BUT when I do release it, I'm getting hit in the face by some water and I think it's through the lid. I replaced the oring and lubed it prior but do you think I should just get a new...

Skimmer weir, water level are okay. It happens too with a hose for creeper vac. I lubed those too but no luck One thing I noticed is when I shut off the pump, a fair sized water bubble pops up at the pump lid. This whole issue did not happen at the beginning of this season. It happened around...

    Hayward pump pulling air somewhere

I purchased pool lube and lubed both the cover o-ring and the union before the suction, but unfortunately no change. While troubleshooting, I noticed that the hose that connects the pump and the filter which is attached with hose clamps (see first pic) leaks during prime. It started happening...
