I'm starting this BBB method and I got a TF 100 test kit. It reads no CYA. The pool calculator says I should add about 9 lbs. Can I trust this amount to add? I read too much CYA is a real pain to lower. I have powder HTH Stabilizer/Conditioner. I'm just a bit nervous about this step. Any...

They are removable lines, so that's good. The current pump is a 3/4 horse power. I should probably replace it too but seems to be doing okay, so far.

~ I'm happy enough with it I guess. On one site it looks like the EC75 is for a pool my size rather than the ec 65 that I have. ~ I'll have to look to see what the GPM is from the pump. The base does mount the pump. The pump seems to still be working fine so an even swap would be easier...

I have a 18x36 in-ground pool with a Hayward Preflex EC-65 that needs replacing. Any suggestions for a new filter? I'm pretty new to all this. Thanks.
