Can't reinstall nicheless light after new plaster

Just closing the loop on this one. CMP actually makes a 'flush fit' adapter for this very purpose. Part # 25503-510-300 ... all set now!

    Brilliant Wonders 1.5 LED removal

About two years.. Have three total. Water is in the conduit behind the light housing itself. Not behind the lens on the electronics obviously, that's all sealed. No issues at all, they've been solid for us. See my other thread here for the only 'issue' I've had. There's a pic of it. Thread here

    Brilliant Wonders 1.5 LED removal

I have a couple of these and they are wet niche style. I installed them without draining. Just need to make sure you have enough extra wire to pull it out and up on the deck.

Can't reinstall nicheless light after new plaster

Hey everyone, I have a 20k gallon inground gunite pool here in South Florida. Just had it resurfaced and it looks great. There's just one small problem. I have a nicheless light (CMP Brilliant Wonders like in the image below) that I'm trying to install but the part that should screw into the...

New Pool Owner Tired of Paying Big Pool Chemical Costs

You may not have an algae bloom, but you don't have ANY chlorine _preventing_ one, either. That's what folks here are trying to tell you -- with a CYA of 90, any FC under 7ppm is bound to the CYA and not available for sanitizing. You need to get your FC up to 10 or so (assuming your water is...

HIGH ph SALT POOL/ Help lower

Honestly, 7.2 is fine. It will drift up due to aeration, etc, over time. Did you use Pool Calculator to determine the amounts to add?

Well hello again, tested my friends pool water and.....

<chants>'the water is clear, the CC is ,5 or less, and it loses less than 1ppm FC overnight'</chants> :-D

Well hello again, tested my friends pool water and.....

Well, that powdered shock more than likely contains CYA, so that level will go up as it dissolves and thus drive the required-FC shock level up, as well. Is this a vinyl-liner pool? If not, you'll want to get some calcium in the water up to recommended levels Aside from that, it sounds like...

HIGH ph SALT POOL/ Help lower

duraleigh, Why is his chlorine need 'desperate' ? (I'm asking, not challenging, as quotes tend to imply) CYA chart shows Min FC as 6 for his CYA, and Target FC of 9 -- he's at 8. What am I missing? Thx!

HIGH ph SALT POOL/ Help lower

Muriatic acid will do it. My local Home Depot carries it. See the pool calculator in my sig to determine how much to add. Do it in small doses so you don't overshoot your target.

    Neglected pool. Is this scale?

This pool was neglected while the house was unoccupied (foreclosure) and an investor brought it back to clear to sell the place. The pH was at 8 when I tested it. Is this calcium scale, or is the finish just messed up? The stained areas are definitely rougher than the unstained, but honestly...

Convert from Pristine Blue to BBB

First thing you need to do is to get a good test kit. The Taylor K-2006 or the TF100 (from http://www.tftestkits.net). You need to be able to test the numbers and get repeatable results. Pool store results have such a large margin of error. (For example, the delta between your two test...

Hmm. I had read a post from Jason in another thread that said it would. http://goo.gl/xAz4f *shrug* .. never had to deal with it, myself...
