    Calcium Hardness in AGP

I'll check the CH tomorrow. Here's the story: We are selling the house. I hired the pool company to pull up half of the liner to cut out what I thoughy was a 1" root sticking up. It's been there since they put the pool up 3 years ago. Turned to be rock amongst about 20 2" rocks that were...

    Calcium Hardness in AGP

How important is it to track calcium hardness in an above ground pool? Our pool store is telling me that I rusted out our pool wall because of calcium hardness.

    Can't see the bottom

I went out of town and left the pool on care of family members. It was a little cloudy when I got home and now after a week it keeps getting worse. Wondering if I should go ahead and slam? Cl- 3.5 brought it up to 6 Cc - 0 Ph - keeps drifting up to 7.8 and more Cya- 50 Alk- 70

    Power cord is HOT

I think the wire is 12 gauge, it's 50 ft from the house to the pump. I do have a dedicated line...

    Power cord is HOT

If we set it up for 240voltage, are you saying that means wiring from the house to the pump? Please stay with me here, I'm trying to keep my head above water. Some of the suggestions seem beyond what I can handle. Sorry, I just noticed that you mentioned the wiring from the house to the pad...

    Power cord is HOT

Ok, I got a pool serviceman out today. He says the motor is runnng at 14.8 amps consistently. Which is almost full throttle. He said the motor should not be running as hot as it is (see my posts above from July!) it's only 70 degrees here today. So he is calling the manufacturer. Against, this...

    Power cord is HOT

I apologize, we have several things needing repair suddenly in our home and the pool thing seems very overwhelming. But, Here's the latest update with our pump/motor/power cord: Yesterday I went out and looked it all over and realized I haven't emptied the small basket on the pump itself for...
