    Water choice pool enzymes?

We have a 40k cell, 24 hours?? My understanding is the more hours the salt cell is ran the faster it needs replacing. Currently we run it for 12 hours a day at 70% output.

    Water choice pool enzymes?

Hello all, this is our third year enjoy your saltwater pool in Texas. We follow the TFP method and use the app to balance our water. That being said during the summer it is a struggle to keep the chlorine where it needs to be. We run our salt cell and pump 12 hours a day at 70% output and keep...

Need to slam after pump not working for 2.5 weeks? Water is clear and have been adding choline.

Got everything balanced yesterday and vacuumed ect did another overnight test to see and did go from 8.5 to 7.5 FC, CC is still .5 and cya is now at 75-80. Think we are still good?

Need to slam after pump not working for 2.5 weeks? Water is clear and have been adding choline.

Okay I believe we passed the Overnight test. Cya was at 60, FC 9.5 at dark, tested at first light and FC was at a 9. So would you skip slamming and just get water back in balance and skim/clean the pool of debris? Thanks

Need to slam after pump not working for 2.5 weeks? Water is clear and have been adding choline.

Hello, we had our pump stop working 2.5 weeks ago and have been going through the warranty process to have it replaced. To prevent algae I’ve been basically adding a gallon or more of chlorine to the water every other day and skimming/brushing it. That being said it’s been sitting with the pump...

    To SLAM or not ??

Thank you. Did an overnight test and my chlorine was a 4ppm last night and still at 4ppm this morning. My CC is now 0 and no longer at .5 so I think we are good? I may raise the chlorine level to a 10 tonight like you mentioned and run pump all night to be sure.

    To SLAM or not ??

Hello! We are almost a full year into pool ownership and so far following TFP methods has kept our pool clear and easy to maintain. This week we had a flow switch go out on the salt cell causing it to stop producing for a couple days before we realized it, we also had some rain. So today my test...

Overnight test results and plan? SLAM?

We just converted to swg this past week and the chlorine level had been high and climbing each day as we get the shoutout adjusted. Decided to do an overnight test and we went from FC 10 to an 8 overnight. (I did take the morning sample after sunrise but there was no direct light in the pool...

Starting up SWG this weekend. Checklist?

We started the SWG Sunday at 70% to get going. FC was at a 4 when we started it up. Yesterday FC was at a 6.5 so I dialed back the output to 60%. Today we are at a 7.5 so SWG is def working but I’m not sure if I need to dial it back more? What’s the best way to figure out % output and hours to...

Starting up SWG this weekend. Checklist?

Thanks. Added added conditioner today to brink yo cya. Tested salt again and sitting at 2600 ppm so using pool math app I’m adding another two bags to hit target if 3200? I thought I read some higher at first though so should I add 3 bags? Last question FC is at a 3 today. Not turning on SWG...

Starting up SWG this weekend. Checklist?

I believe I have read through all the articles pertaining to this and feel like I know what I’m doing but can’t hurt to ask the experts right?? I did a salt test today and it is 1,000 ppm before adding any salt. Based on this Hayward chart for a 15k gallon pool the recommendation is 293 lbs...
