No ammonia as far as I can tell. Here are my test results: 7/5 CL 1 pH 7.2 7:30 1 gal Cl FC 2 CC 5.5 TC 7.5 8:45 1 gal Cl FC 8.5 CC 2 TC 10.5 I will continue SLAM process tonight. Plan on vacuuming and backwashing as needed tomorrow morning and add stabilizer in the afternoon, if needed.

Ammonia? What do I need to know about it. Can I test for it? I have Taylor -100 test kit. Getting ready to vacuum, backwash, and add stabilizer.

My stabilizer is about finished after 3 1/2 hours. Do I keep the pump on circulation or switch to filter? If keep on circulation, how long? Thanks!

Ok. I've added 4 cups of Stabilizer in a sock. I backwashed and rinsed the pump beforehand. Now the pump is on circulation. As I monitor the chlorine levels every 2 hours...will it be okay.to add liquid chlorine if needed while the stabilizer is in the sock? Just speculating and thinking ahead.

So I can add stabilizer at FC 14.5? Also, I have people coming over to swim in about 4 hours. Is it ok to add CYA while you have swimmers?
