As an update...our penguin met its nemesis! Our build was late July last year, so after cottonwood season. This year we are experiencing our first cottonwood season with the pool, and the penguin does not handle settled cottonwood fluff well at all - it clogs the intake and basically shuts him...

Thanks both, glad to hear on potency. I tested 24 hours after and again a week later, both with the same result. I recognize it is somewhat subjective of a reading, so will hit it again and see what it brings next week.
