Zodiac MX6 - Delicate Hoses Keep Breaking

Hi all, I'd like to crowdsource some advice for my Zodix MX6 issue. I bought it 18 months ago. The hose has proven to be very brittle; each hose segment has broken. Maybe this is cost of saltwater? Or a dry sunny Miami summer? I don't know whether I have the stomach to switch to a new cleaner...

New Pool - Miami - Summer 2020 Build

This is French Gray diamond brite color. It looks so good, and also (I guess like all plaster shades) it has a different mood depending on the sunlight.

I am thrilled to announce we have water in the pool and the final inspection. Was approved. For all of my griping at the slow slog this summer, it was really a smooth finish. Once the plaster was added on Wednesday 9/23, we filled the pool up all day 9/24, and then we got the pumps in on...

Yeah...this has been some ride! Glad they got it all done for you. We will be at the four-month mark on Monday. This after many months of permit issues. I am just ready to be swimming and enjoying my yard...it will be the perfect way to spend a Covid weekend safely at home. Can't wait!

Yeah, you are probably right. The GC across the street and I have spoken about this regularly. This is the way this builder works; I have it in writing in case it comes up later. I do trust the logic and experts on TFP way more than I trust him, but ultimately it's his responsibility. Going...

From what I can tell, our PB's technique for this is not the norm. I don't really have the stomach for this strategy, seems needlessly risky. But hopefully it will work out.

Kim, I know. It’s crazy. What a weird way of doing things. And really playing with fire for the overall health of the plaster.

New Pool - Miami - Summer 2020 Build

I'm pleased to report I have real progress. Ready for my breakthrough! Child fence installed yesterday, and a successful inspection today. Plaster scheduled for Monday...fingers crossed. I will add -- our PB says his approach is to do plaster, fill pool with water, and only then add the...

Sorry I wasn’t clear. The guys that showed up to do the job thought that the posts would go in the coping. We only have 16 inches of coping, and the code is for the posts to be at least twenty inches outside of the pool. But still. This should not be a week delay. Embarrassing.

The 'Delay Train' keeps chugging. A recap how slow things have gotten: Wed. 7/29: Coping work Thu. 7/30: Tile work delayed; we are told the tiles we chose are now out of stock. Immediately choose from new sample. Fri. 7/31: Tiles installed, but they're the wrong one. Tue. 8/18: Tiles replaced...

At the time, I didn't know I could outsource the child fence. I also didn't imagine this process would be so difficult. The entire month of August will go by with only 5 hours of work being done for the pool...and those 5 hours will be the removal and replacement of the tiles after they...

Yeah...we didn't think too much of that at the time we signed contract. But is that a massive mistake?
