    Salt taste liquid chlorine pool

My pool reached 3500 ppm salt after 5 years of liquid chlorine. I could taste it with my sensitive palate -- that's why I tested the salt level. Converted to SWGC without adding any "salt."

I knew I was Pool Stored when...

TFP from the start. Before even picking a pool builder, I was googling around to educate myself on pool maintenance. Thankfully, I found this wonderful resource. Yeah, I gotta say, the folks on here are amazing. What a great community. Have I ever had issues? Yeah. But only slight. Tube...

Two-speed Relay for Pump - Cost and Other

Hello fellow TFPers, I want to share my experience with the failure of my two-speed relay (SPDT - single pole, double throw). I noticed that occasionally my pump would be running on high speed when it was scheduled to be running on low. Didn’t happen all the time – until it did. Of course, the...

Hayward Tiger Shark No Longer Climbing Walls

I doubt it is traction. . . . Well, not in the way you are thinking. *IF* this works the way most cleaners work, the impeller provides the "push" against the wall giving it traction you are seeking. Also, I would believe that there are two motors. One for the brushes, and one to drive the...

Help! Show off your WHITE pebble tec / pebble sheen !

Yeah, up in post #13, above. Link: Help! Show off your WHITE pebble tec / pebble sheen ! Read carefully, I do not have PebbleTec. But, you can see the impact of the very light finish on the color of the water. There are some up-close shots.

    Week vacation

No neighbors that would enjoy your pool all for the low cost of, "dump this much chlorine in each day?" There is also the idea of using the trichlor pucks only while your gone (because, you know), understanding the slight rise in CYA.

Help! Show off your WHITE pebble tec / pebble sheen !

A nearly-white finish (which they both are) is going to result in an almost indiscernible water color from the next nearly-white finish. In my opinion, the only real difference is what the finish will like when looking directly at it. Having said that, I can't imagine you could really go wrong...

    Doheny's Discovery, S200, Active20, Triton owners club

It gets twisted in operation. A weeks worth of twisting in a day or two. I leave it in the pool most of the time, so it it's definitely not my improper cord winding. Just have to wonder, since they have models that do have a swivel, if mine now doesn't care about performing equal cw and ccw...

    Doheny's Discovery, S200, Active20, Triton owners club

Took my Doheny's Discovery to a local Maytronics dealer about six weeks ago. I had the "it would move a foot and stop" issue. Bad motor. So, here's the thing. My cord tangles like crazy now. I remember reading a review before I bought the dang thing that stated that the motor (or...

Best reasonably priced robot for first time pool owner

I was in your position a year ago. After research here on this forum, I went with Doheny's Discovery. Our pools sound almost identical. As for the stairs and shelf, I just brush them off into the pool where the robot can to the dirt, sunken leaves, etc., every few days or so.

Do you mean the water won't be below 60? If so, I'd wait until it is. Pool School - Closing an In Ground Pool
