    Pool Fence Passing Code Question

My worry is that the snake fence is very rigid and stiff and inspector may see it as a possible stepping ledge.

    Pool Fence Passing Code Question

We are finishing up our new pool install and we want to attach a 3’ galvanized steel snake fence (1/4”X1/4”) to our 54” pool fence. I’ve already attached some of the snake fence and realized it may not pass safety code. What are your thoughts? See photos I will mostly likely take down what I...

    Fiberglass Pool Install

Luckily I’ll be home for the entire process. After having done research for a year now, I know what to look for. After meeting with so many builders I quickly figured out that cheap isn’t quality. I’ll be starting a thread soon about my build.

    Fiberglass Pool Install

After following this thread for a while I’m now a bit nervous for my fiberglass dig that is set to start next week. Glad you are finally getting things headed in the right direction.

    Fiberglass build in NoVa

Looks great! I have two questions: 1. Are you happy with the larger river rock And color? We are looking at the same for our pool build next month. 2. What did the neighbors say about the pool shell sitting in the yard before it was installed? congrats on the outcome.

Just starting research and quotes in NJ

I started my PB research in May and signed a contract in October. Met with over 10 in person and spoke with over 15 via phone. It took some time but I’m glad I did what I did. After reading many posts here and learning from each builder I spoke with, I was able to determine which builder was...

    Fiberglass build in NoVa

We are having a BR Coral Sea 2 installed in March and many builders I spoke with noted the weight of BR pools. My PB said he had one crane operator almost tip. He never hired him again. Luckily my PB only installs BR and knows the weight and what he’s working with. Good luck with the build.

Opinions Welcomed (Updated)NC PB Quote w/ Design Photos

Frustrating Update: WHY DON’T BUILDERS (at least in my area) COMMUNICATE WELL!? We’ve discovered fiberglass for us is just too expensive for our budget. Vinyl fits within budget and bigger. So, through a friend I found a pool builder/ renovator who’s family has owned the business for 40+...

Getting close to choosing a PB and design, looking for thoughts on quote & equipment - Charlotte NC

That’s a very reasonable price for the build. Here in Wilmington your CLT price would only get me fiberglass pool with brushed concrete. No spa and no travertine. Good for you! Hope it goes well. I too have met with 7 builders. Confusing and eye-opening!

    Let the games begin...

Love the design! I’ve been researching and interviewing builders for three months now. Consider yourself fortunate to get that size pool, concrete, spa and travertine for your price. Here in Eastern NC that pool would be well over $100k. So good for you. Hope it goes well.

Opinions Welcomed (Updated)NC PB Quote w/ Design Photos

Another quick update: After meeting with the latest PB, we’ve come up with a different design and layout. Design is Barrier Reef Coral Sea Lounger 35’. It is shorter than the SJ 44’ pool, but has more actual swim space. We are considering running the pool straight away from the house (see...
