P.S. Let me know if this works for you. It evened out my spillover nicely, but I'm curious if it helps others. thx!

    Spillway help

I'm posting a quick and easy fix for this here, in case anyone is having the same issue and looks up this older thread. I have a similar spillway, similar uneven flow problem. The quick fix is to rub a candle over the front edge and forward portion of the top surface of the "slow"/dribbling...

    Uneven spillway flow? Try this!

I have an in-ground salt pool with attached spa. There's a spillway between the elevated round spa and the pool. It has 3 flat adjacent (no gaps) marble tiles that the spillover flows over and into the pool. I get a decent flow and good chlorine levels with my VS pump set to about 2400 rpm...

Pentair EasyTouch : single-body unit for pool w attached spa?

p.s. the lights were probably installed about 8-9 years ago. would intellibritev have been around then? should I just try assigning all the bulb types until one shows activity? ('all on' works with the Aux1 relay, but there's no color changing for any of the light modes.)

Pentair EasyTouch : single-body unit for pool w attached spa?

Hi, and thanks for the info! was caught up with pre-holiday stuff, back to the pool project now. I'm rewiring the remote today (pulling thru conduit) bc the old wire was just phone cable and it probably went bad. I got direct-bury sprinkler wire to replace it. yes, Aux1 is lights, aux2 is air...

Pentair EasyTouch : single-body unit for pool w attached spa?

oh, and I have no Screen logic system, just the wired remote (to be repaired with new wire). I figure at least 2 of the Inlet/Return/AuxA/AuxB valve circuits should be active, even if I have to program spa mode in a non-conventional way.

Pentair EasyTouch : single-body unit for pool w attached spa?

Thanks! just as additional info, the valve button (next to mode button) does turn on the heater and switches to spa mode on the display. I think my issues may be with programming. As for programming, here's a good start. I have 2 lights in my pool, hooked up to the Aux1 relay. How do I program...

Pentair EasyTouch : single-body unit for pool w attached spa?

More reading: Can I just connect my 2 valve actuators to the Aux Valve A and B connectors, and program them to activate with spa mode? I'm not sure, but it looks like these 2 valve circuits are the active ones for the single-body control board, and not the main inlet/outlet valve circuits...

Pentair EasyTouch : single-body unit for pool w attached spa?

[UPDATE] The Pentair single-body EasyTouch system will operate a spa w 2 valves, see below. Hi, I have a pool with attached spa, incl. an actuator valve for both inlet and outlet lines. I just replaced my flaky unit with one for single-body systems. the valves don't move when I hit spa mode on...

Nautilus Plus not starting (with a fix!)

Thought I'd share this fix for a Nautilus Plus not starting. Mine is about 2 years old, use it year-round (FL) but only about 1-2 times/month. After almost 2 years, it wouldn't start up, or would do so sporadically (resetting the power controls several times, etc.). I checked the power output...

    Dolphin Nautilus Plus CC Stuck

Mine gets stuck the same way occasionally. I saw a post elsewhere suggesting that you cut off the black rubber tips in the corners. This allows the treads to contact the step/wall when at an angle, preventing hangups.

Another robot rec request: PebbleTec, rounded walls/steps

Just thought I'd follow up my own query here. I went with a Nautilus Plus. Seems to be doing a good job, hits the water line and even the random curved steps. Cleans great, filter cartridges are easy to clean/rinse. Picks up some long stringy leaves from the bottom too! Thx for the replies.

Another robot rec request: PebbleTec, rounded walls/steps

Thx for both replies. And yes, I have read much of that infamous thread! I read somewhere about an issue with curved walls. If that is not a problem for this type of pool shape, then I know which direction I'm heading. :)

    Kitchen Gadgets You Love

Re: Kitchen Gadgets You Love In keeping with the forum title, although just a bit over $20, I have to recommend the Aeropress for coffee. OK, it may look sorta like a french press with a twist, but the coffee is FAR superior. It makes a concentrate in just a minute or so, and self-cleans during...

Another robot rec request: PebbleTec, rounded walls/steps

New pool owner, overwhelmed by info, looking at robot cleaners. Am leaning toward the S200/Discovery and equivalents, but saw somewhere that they don't work as well with curved walls. My pool has all curved walls and several curved steps (by spa and at both ends), and a Pebble Tec finish. Any...
