Will back washing the sand filter remove the added DE? In other words, will new DE need to be added after each back wash?

We don’t cover it. It’s not heated when not in use, but the filter pump runs daily.

Thanks for the great info! I never knew that pH would return to pre-treatment levels once the FC dropped as well. But I’m guessing I’ll be saying “I never knew that” a lot as I peruse TFP.
