    Fixing up and weekly targets

Hi All, Unfortunately, I have to move for work after having just got my place and so to rent it I'll need to try sort something out where weekly maintenance will be sufficient. I'd love some advice on what numbers to hit. Also, I've been away the past few weeks for a week at a time, and...

    Getting things in order

Cool, thanks :) It's still going. I added just under half the borates last night. I need just shy of 9 boxes, added 4 (along with the MA to compensate). Will see how it goes. Cheers, Alan.

    Getting things in order

Hi, How long should cyanic acid in a sock take to dissolve? Seems to be very slow, though I see much more come out when I move the sock about. Cheers, Alan.

    Getting things in order

Thanks Richard :) I have no idea how you knew about those weights ;) I measured chlorine this morning FC:4.5 CC: 0, so it's slowing coming together. Cheers, Alan.

    Getting things in order

Thanks Richard. The calculator suggested 24oz of muriatic acid, so I added approx 18 (only had a 16.9oz ice tea bottle to measure with at the time XD). Just measured pH again and it looks pretty Dang close to 7.5 - maybe 7.6, but definitely much closer to 7.5 than 7.8. I've now added bleach...

    Getting things in order

Hi All, Thanks for the advice. Last week before I'd got it measured the water had a slight green tinge to it. So I'd put some shock in there. One scoop one day. Then a few days later another two scoops. This was while the polaris was out of action (broken motor) and we were waiting for a Blue...

    Getting things in order

Hi All, So having just moved things were crazy and I just dumped a scoop of chlorine (which I found in the pool shed when we moved in) every now and then until I had time to measure up etc. Finally got it done, and the scoop here and there was insufficient, but numbers and details are below...

    Reviving an empty tub

Hi Paul, Perfect - thanks. Would you recommend using chlorine rather than bromine in a spa? Cheers, Alan.

    Reviving an empty tub

Hi All, I've just moved an the house has a hot tub. It's currently empty and in questionable health. What's the process I should follow to get it filled and see what works? Are there certain things I should check first? Should I be cleaning the inside with something before filling it? Cheers...

Old Noisy Pump and Austin Pool Equipment Companies

Turns out my wife got someone to have a look while I was at work. It's the bearings in the Polaris' pump, though I was wanting to replace it with a WaterTech Blue Diamond anyway. Once the rain has stopped I'll take measurements again.

Old Noisy Pump and Austin Pool Equipment Companies

Hi All, I'm new to the forum, and pool care etc. I just moved into a place with a pool and have read through all the starter docs and done my first test with a TF100 kit. I've taken pool dimension measurements and need to calculate the pool volume. I'm not even certain what it's made of - I...
