Is there a pump that will completely drain my pool instead of leaving 1 foot of water

I'm doing a lot of construction in the back yard. That, plus leaves clogs up little pumps. It would have been nice to send everything out through the bigger pvc pipes of the main drain. The pool is kept empty to make cleaning it easier in the meantime by sweeping for example. Thanks all.

Is there a pump that will completely drain my pool instead of leaving 1 foot of water

Pool = In-ground, average size, sand filter, max depth 8 feet, main drain at deepest point I'm draining my pool, but when I get to about 1 foot of water left at the bottom, the pump seems to be unable to draw it out. I'd like to avoid using a sump pump to get the remaining water out. Thanks in...

    Walmart Aqua chem liquid chlorinizor

I bought six of them...only one seemed to turn the pool blue, but even that blue was slightly blue green...whereas the regular bleach...wow...it's sky blue. Same amount used...one container...

    Walmart Aqua chem liquid chlorinizor

Well, I thought this stuff would perform better than regular bleach since it has a higher percentage of sodium hypochlorite (10%) But, often the water is green the day after, whereas a container of walmart bleach always turns the pool blue. There is no airtight seal on the aqua chem containers...

Water disappears fast, but stops at a certain level

Help please. Location North Florida, decent rain All through winter there has been relatively low humidity and only mild rain. I am doing back yard work so I've only been letting rain fill the pool since dirt and debris gets in it anyway from the yard work. All through winter the pool has stayed...

Help plz. Pump/Filter may be clogged

Utilizing the principles of Bama Rambler and Qwaxalot, I closed off the Skimmer Suction Line, inserted a Drain King via the "G" Pump Strainer Housing and turned on the hose. I could see debris moving by the main drain at the bottom of the pool. So then I filled up "G" with water until it started...

Help plz. Pump/Filter may be clogged

It's in-ground. Size...about 20k. The pvc pipes are higher up than the waterline because the pool is only half full. But the main drain is at the bottom of the pool so I figured the pump would be able to suction water up to the filter just fine... The pvc pipes run underground about 1 foot...

Help plz. Pump/Filter may be clogged

I turned off the valve of "D" inlet/suction pipe. Then I poured 10 gallons into "G" and the water in the skimmer overflowed so now I know which pipe is to the skimmer and which goes to the main drain. I double checked by turning on Waste and sure enough the water in the skimmer drained out...

Help plz. Pump/Filter may be clogged

Thanks you. I don't see any "ports" on the incoming (suction) pipes "D" and "E" where I could insert a drain king. Or is the port that 1.5" vertical tube near the edge of the pool?

Help plz. Pump/Filter may be clogged

I'm totally new to pools. I bought a house with a pool full of vegetable soup. I used a little sump pump and garden hose to drain the pool. At one point I tried to turn on the big Pool Pump...Water shot out the return holes in the side of the pool, but algae might have gotten sucked down into...

UV (ultraviolet) chamber will keep my pool algae free?

Ok, I think I am swayed back to chlorine. I guess a lot of people get set against it after experiencing poorly managed pools. Interesting.

UV (ultraviolet) chamber will keep my pool algae free?

Maybe I'm just against chlorine because I've only been to public pools. Is the chlorine mg/l required to keep a pool algae free less than or the same as that found in drinking water? 1 mg/l I think.

UV (ultraviolet) chamber will keep my pool algae free?

Re: Alternative sanitizers and "chemical free" pools--The Tr Zeron is an epoxy pool surfacer that supposedly is so glossy that it's slippery (steps get textured) I just don't like the idea of any -cidal chemicals, even copper. I wonder if I could do some combination of: diminished sunlight...

UV (ultraviolet) chamber will keep my pool algae free?

Re: Alternative sanitizers and "chemical free" pools--The Tr Ok. What if the pool surface is high gloss like Zeron? Between that, a 30x20 pool, and a UV bombardment would the pool be kept pretty clear? Thanks

UV (ultraviolet) chamber will keep my pool algae free?

Forgetting about pathogens for a minute...All I want to know is if an in-line UV (ultraviolet) chamber will keep my pool algae free without using chlorine. Assuming an average pool that is exposed to sunlight. And if so, which brand?
