Thank you for bringing me into reality. While I've not had any power loss here there is a first time for everything. The thought of dealing with the pool in an extended loss of electricity situation is disconcerting. Without further reading, I'll be closing the pool.

yes I did. Chlorine dropped less than 1 the past two nights. I thought the hot day yesterday would have dissipated the chlorine more with the CYA at 50. It's going to rain this afternoon so maybe that will dilute some things.

Tested FC at 3, CYA at 40 and PH at 7.6. Added more chlorine and will check again in the morning. I also learned this evening others in the countryside are having troubles balancing their pools. We had a significant amount of rain last week (while I was sick). Undoubtedly added to the imbalance.

I started with an FC of 0. And keep the FC at 12 for how long? I'll test again tomorrow as I added the CYA this afternoon and it was not very much. All the other readings adjusted to near normal with just adding the chlorine.
