    Is this a good buy?

Walmart has a Taylor K-2005 for $20, is this a good buy? I know the only diff b/w 2005 & 2006 is FAS-DPD chlorine test, while the K-2005 has the DPD chlorine test. I've already have K-2006 but low in test refils so instead of buying a few refills which comes out almost the same buying this...

Spa water slowly drained to pool halfway when pump stops

As it turned out, it was #3 check valve that needed replace when I opened it, it was not in good condition so I replaced that and the problem was solved. Another successful DYI due to the readiness helpful of this community. I am so thankful for all the experts that we have here.

Spa water slowly drained to pool halfway when pump stops

That's what I thought too. Should I replace the whole thing or just a flap? Not sure if they even sell just the flap. Found something on Amazon and I think it'll fit. Pool Check Valve

Spa water slowly drained to pool halfway when pump stops

Sorry for my ignorant but I don't fully understand these lines. I've noticed that 2 (return) & 5(suction) are automatically turned based on either pool filter is set (current pic) or Spa. 4 is just water spray. from the pic below, which valve (#) should I check & replace? I saw a youtube...

Spa water slowly drained to pool halfway when pump stops

For some reason my spa water now is halfway after the schedule pump ran. It takes about 30 or 40 for the water to lowered but it stops right at all the water returned line I think. The only way to fill it back up is run the pump for all but if I run for spa only, the water remains low & it just...

What is the permanent way to fix rebar rust?

So I have a rebar rust spot & my pool plaster is about 17 yrs. I've decided to replaster & fix the rebar. My expectations from reading is to either drill down to the rebar & cut it out or put the rust inhibitor around the rebar but the contractor told me that is not necessary. He cuts 2 lines at...

pump not running after power outage

We have a power outage (about 30 mins) over the weekend and now the pump does not even making any noise. Is it dead? Before the power completely goes out, the neighborhood power was on/off a few times so I think this might have shorted the pump or completely killed it. I've tried to replace a...

pump is loud, time to replace?

It just died. I need to take it out as when I turn it on, just made a loud noise and eventually turned off. Can it be revived? This is my 2nd pump in 12 years of owning the pool. Also how do I find a compatible one if mine model happens to be out of stock in most places. TIA.

what is my best options to install SWG according to my pool eq setup?

Yeah, understood, I've dumped in 8 bags and after a few days, my salinity avg is 3800 so it is within range of suggested. Setting up the output like 40% and it is producing chlorine keeping it around 4.5ppm. I only have the pump runs 5 hr on high during the day and 6 hr on low during night...

pump is loud, time to replace?

so I have a variable speed pump HAYSPX3220Z2MER which the sound is a bit loud, it's like 6 years old. Is it time to replace or let it run until it dies? is there a part that I can replace to reduce the noise? It's working just a bit load and I am afraid it bothers the neighbor. Also if it...
