    Pool Math........The App

Hello, I’ve been using the app for over a year now. My account renewed in Nov as I was charged. However now when I go to use it I’m getting a message that I need to upgrade to premium. Well I just paid Nov 23 but with the winter and not really testing I haven’t used it until now. Can a moderator...

A few questions about adding salt to your pool

Re: Can I add salt to a chlorine pool? I found on Morton's pool salt site, a table indicating about how much you should add... It says 10 bags (40# per bag) should raise ppm to 3,000 for a 15,000 g pool. So 1 bag should raise salt 300 ppm for a 15,000g pool if my math is right?

A few questions about adding salt to your pool

A few questions about adding salt to your pool when you're using the BBB method.... 1) Is it right that 25# of salt will raise salt 1,500 ppm for every 2,000 g? 2) So for my 29,000 g pool, I would need to add 362# to get my salt levels up at approx 1,500 ppm, correct? 3) How long does the salt...

New to the board, and have some questions.

Ha, well that's an important piece of information... I don't know where I got 96 oz from! Thanks again! I'll have to redo my math.

New to the board, and have some questions.

Where did the information come from regarding "One gallon will raise 10,000 gallons of water approximately the percentage of the bleach in FC (i.e, one gallon of 6% ultra bleach will raise 10,000 gallons approx. 6 ppm FC)" ? Because my calculation is based on that statement, and if it's not...

New to the board, and have some questions.

Retested last night. FC 4.0 CC 0.0 CH 100 PH 7.6-7.8 TA Not tested since it was fine last time CYA 30 I'm assuming since the FC didn't drop much in 24 hours, and there's no CC, then the pool should be good right now. It's pretty clear and I don't see any build up of any algae or anything. I've...

New to the board, and have some questions.

So for volume I'm going to assume approx 28k. It's a rectangular In-ground pool for whoever asked. The steps are your typical steps for the deep end. The rails essentially slide into metal or plastic "housings" that are in the concrete, and there is a bolt at each one that when you undo, allows...

New to the board, and have some questions.

Hello, I'm new to the board, have basically just been reading and learning, but now I have a couple of questions to see if I'm on the right path. 1) I've used an online calculator to try and figure the volume of the pool (see signature). It's 18x36', 3.5' shallow end, 8' deep end. Do I have the...

    Sta-Rite 3 DE Filter Cleaning--Union Collar--Stuck

I have the same Filter, and had a big issue with this when I first took it apart to clean. I tried a general pipe wrench and basically stripped it. So I got a strap wrench which has worked great. When you put it back on, make sure you don't over tighten (just hand tighten) and you won't have...
