Pump randomly momentarily activates and immediately deactivates. It “whoomps”. Phantom events?

Good ideas there. The problem with these kind of irregular issues is that turning off the breaker and NOT hearing anything doesn’t prove anything. But if I turn off the breaker and DO hear something then that would be telling. I’ll try that for a few nights in a row. I thought I had turned off...

Thanks for the very detailed reply! I’m pretty sure the sound is electrical. It’s exactly the same sound I hear if I open my Aqualink app and turn on the pump and then immediately turn it off half a second later. I will double-check for water leaks though just to be sure.

I don’t really know how to describe this. 2yr old equipment. Jandy VS pump. IAqualink automation. Everything runs and stops according to schedule. You know the normal “whoomp” or “wromp” sound the pump relay makes when the pump gets activated but before the pump starts? Like a power surge or...

    Pool Bellecrete Coping Moisture Problems

Mine was even worse! Check out this pic of it at the worst point. It’s much much better now but still not perfect. If only they had waterproofed the waterline…

    Pool Bellecrete Coping Moisture Problems

Sorry for the late reply; I didn’t realize there was more interest. Here’s an update in case it helps future TFP searches: We finally got the PB to agree to: 1) Rip out all coping and replace with the same Bellecrete cast coping (Bellecrete paid for identical material under warranty even though...

    Bonding metal scuppers really necessary?

Thanks, JoyfulNoise. We’re already past inspections so I guess I was just looking for “this guy online to say it was ok” anyway  It seems logically ok to me, but just wanted confirmation that I’m not missing something.

    Bonding metal scuppers really necessary?

From what I've read, stainless is a no-no with a Salt pool.

    Bonding metal scuppers really necessary?

I have a recently built gunite pool with raised spa. The spa has 2 spillovers that are currently tiled inside with no lip. The spillway water has a nice arc, but also dribbles and saturates the stone face of the spa. Now I’d like to buy and install copper spillway scuppers to better sheet the...
