I wait at least 2hrs until I test after dosing. Also I dose in front of the return and test on the opposite side of the pool.

Well some how it went up over night. FC was 22 at about 10pm last night and it had been about an hour and a half since last chemical addition. This morning at 6:30 it was 24. So I'm not sure what's going on here. I tested it twice this morning and got the same number both times.

3-5 overnight. But that was a few days ago. I can try again tonight.

Testing depends on if my wife is home during the day. If not once in the morning and then not till about 4pm. After that it's every 2 hours till I go to bed. The weekends are much more often. - - - Updated - - -

So how long should this slam actually take. The residue seems to be almost gone but I'm more then a week into this thing. Feel like it is taking way longer then it should.

UPDATE ON SLAM I added more then the need bleach last night before I went to bed and my FC this morning was still over the threshold of 24. I did not add anymore bleach this morning. The mystery stuff had reappeared on the bottom again. One promising bit though was the sock in the skimmer...

UPDATE ON SLAM Came home at about 4pm today and the bottom was covered in the mystery stuff again. FC was down to 17. I vacuumed through waste all the stuff on the bottom. Lost quite a bit of water cause it went below skimmer. The water is back up and running again and I added the appropriate...

Thanks. I understand that. My driveway right now is yellow from the pecan trees it is crazy. Plus we haven’t had rain so it is dry here as well and it just kinda blows all over the place.

Thats the plan. Just another update. I brushed the pool at 7am today and my wife said the stuff is already back on the bottom in a few spots.
