Solar Covers .. 12mil vs 16 mill & Blue vs Clear

Does anyone know if there really is a major difference in heating and heat retention performance between a 12 mil cover vs 16 mil cover and Blue vs Clear? I've been using the 12 mil blue and debating going to 16 mil for better heat retention? But not sure if it really makes a difference ...

Safety Winter Cover Far down in Pool

By eye it looks more then 18", but hard to tell without actually measuring it. Guess there isn't much I can do at this point except wonder and wait for better weather.

    Drain Plugs for Solar Covers

Has anyone tried installing the 1/2" drain plugs in the solar cover to let water drain through? Looks interesting, but haven't tried using them. Wouldn't you lose some heat retention? Anyway, looking for feedback. :) Thanks Rich

Safety Winter Cover Far down in Pool

I'm a bit concerned. I've never seen the safety cover so far down into the pool with Ice on it. Of course, nothing I can do until spring. When the cover was put on, the springs were securely tightened. (about 50%). It's a Merlin Green Top grade mesh safety cover. The 2nd one we've owned. This...

Hi. I will be re-sealing my pool patio soon. I know it will be slippery after the reseal. Was thinking of using an additive. There are a lot of different types in the market. However, I have heard from many that the anti slip usually wears off after a year. Also, some said they could see it on...

    Re-Sealing Stamped Concrete Pool Patio

I would think it should be sealed for protection shouldn't it? If it was just because they worried about the liner, then I will seal it. I noticed my friend's pool has theirs sealed. Just didn't know if there was a certain reason why I shouldn't.

    Re-Sealing Stamped Concrete Pool Patio

Hi. It's pointing to the approx 4" concrete edge above the liner that is the edge of the stamped concrete patio.. Should I seal that part as well? The people that did it originally didn't seal that area.

    Re-Sealing Stamped Concrete Pool Patio

Hi. I am about to reseal my stamped concrete pool patio. It was previously sealed with an Acrylic sealer with a color added to it. It lasted quite a while. When they originally sealed the patio, they did not include the egde of the patio within the pool area itself. Shouldn't that concrete be...
