    winter cover anchor caps?

Do anyone know if there are caps to go over inground anchors that are used around the pool for the winter covers? I have a travertine paver deck. I would like to find some bronze caps that can go over the holes of the anchors during the summer time so that dirt/debris do not get into them and...

Safety cover or Autocover for winter

Thanks for the advice. I spoke to the auto cover people and they said I didn’t need to have a safety cover. Although it would put a beating on the autocover and my have to replace it sooner than if I had a safety cover. I plan to have it measured and priced out for a safety cover this week to...

Safety cover or Autocover for winter

Thanks for the replies. I think I'm leaning to getting the safety cover. I think maybe the solid to help decrease the chances my pool being opened to a green monster. I assume go with a name brand company with a good warranty is key, right? Any experience with safety cover anchors in...

Safety cover or Autocover for winter

I have an inground pool with an auto cover and travertine pavers dry set deck. When closing the pool, the company said that I may benefit from having a safety pool cover on instead Of using the auto cover to cover the pool throughout the winter. First, is it necessary to have a safety cover on...

Light Breaker keeps tripping causing pump to not run

This subpanel has only 8 slots. The heater, main disconnect, and water pump are double pole breakers, which then only left 2 free slots. The electrician did say they had issues before when autocover shared breaker with lights, hopefully this will solve issue. Cross your fingers!

Light Breaker keeps tripping causing pump to not run

The electricians came and placed the heater, water pump, and auto cover on separate breakers. The lights/outlets and automation system share one gfci breaker. They would have placed the lights/outlets on a different breaker from the automation system, but there were no more slots available in...

Light Breaker keeps tripping causing pump to not run

Do people have separate breakers in the subpanel for each component (inground pool lights, heater, pump, automation box, salt generator, main disconnect, etc.) of their pool or are there components that can be combined on some breakers? I have a heater, main disconnect, and pump on separate...

Light Breaker keeps tripping causing pump to not run

Chris, Thanks for the helpful info. I did a quick troubleshoot by turning all breakers off at the sub panel, then turned each one on one by one, and noticed that the light/ auto cover breaker also controls the iaqualink automation to come on. This may explains why when that breaker trips, even...

Light Breaker keeps tripping causing pump to not run

I have a Jandy VS epump that is connected to the iaqualink. My pool was just installed this past May. Over the past 2 months, at least once a week (if not twice a week) the light/auto cover gfci breaker in sub panel trips, causing the VS pump to also not work. I reset the light/auto cover gfci...

Close or not to close the pool is the question

Sounds easy enough. Do you pour water into the pump to get it to prime when you first open it PoolGate?

    iaqualink alert possible?

I spoke to a Jandy rep and he said that it is not currently possible with their system. He would send it up the chain for a future feature. It would be nice to have now though.

Close or not to close the pool is the question

Thanks for the feedback all. I was tempting to keep it open I. The winter so that I do not have to wait for a while for a company to come and open the pool in the Spring. I sounds like it would be best to close it. How easy is it to open a winterized pool myself if I do not want to wait for a...

Close or not to close the pool is the question

I live in central Virginia. Winters can be mild; however, we do get streaks of temperatures low as the 20s for a few days with highs in the 30s during January and February. I have heard people running their pumps 24/7 in the winter and others winterizing/closing their pool. This will be my...

Does anyone know if iaqualink can automatically alert me if my variable pump turns off due to a tripped breaker or power surge from a storm? I have found this happen to me twice which I happen to check my pump and noticed it was off. It was probably off for only 8-12 hours, but in case I was...
