    Smell

I too do not have ANY chlorine smell. This may seem unusual, but try showering before swimming to remove excess body oils and sweat. Then get out after swimming for a bit and smell your forearm. Cheers!

    Pool Deck Separation from Shell

It is very unfortunate the homeowner is going through this headache. Seeing this makes me glad to have rebar that ties the pool deck to the bond beam around the parameter of my pool. Good luck with your repairs.

What does your pool paradise look like?

Same here. According to my "thermometer", I do not even consider getting in until I reach 88*. 90* is even more comfortable. My solar cover makes it happen. I'm up 26* since the 27th of March. I do not like any "chill" being originaly from WI. So I DO NOT like the cold. ;)

O/B in Gilbert, AZ for 2nd time

I am a huge fan of the solar covers. I use the dark blue "Heavy" cover. I put it on 3/27/2021, pool was 58*. Yesterday evening it was 84* Even into summer, it allows me to maintain consisent average daily temeprature that is ideal to us. It also minimizes evaporation and chlorine loss.

Scraping Calcium, Does it Affect Chemistry?

Your calcium on your tiles tells you your CSI is too high (over +.30). If you get your CSI levels down to -.1 to - .2, you will slowly dissolve the build up. Then maintaining a "slightly" negative CSI will keep the build up away.
