    Pentair 320 trichlor screen stuck

Thanks I have stopped using it and planning on just using the chlorinator while away on vacation etc. follow up question though… should I leave the valve open or closed if it’s not being used? I assume in winter freezes I would leave it wide open? But maybe in summer can just leave it closed.

    Pentair 320 trichlor screen stuck

I have Pentair 320 and it’s been a while since I cleaned the screen which sits at the bottom of the tube which holds the tabs. I went to pull it out with a pair of long bbq tongs as I have done in the past and it won’t budge. There is a ton of gunk built up at the bottom and I think it’s built...

Pentair clean and clear plus air bleed tube question

Found this pic online... mine is the one on the left without the mesh and I assume the cap has some sort of filtration although it’s not obvious. Guess I will go for the new version assuming it can be replaced... not obvious to me how it is currently attached to the lower housing...

Pentair clean and clear plus air bleed tube question

Hi The cap on the top of my air bleed tube assembly broke apart. I tried to point to it here in this diagram (unfortunately don't have a real pic). It's a 1/2” cap that fits on the top of the PVC pipe. Looks like newer versions have a wire mesh type cap on top but this is an older version...

    Filter leak

Thanks, Here's a close up of the bulkhead, red arrow points to the leak. Not sure how old the filter is, I've been here a little over a year and the house is about 9 years old, so I assume the filter is pretty close to that.

    Filter leak

Hi there, I have a cartridge pool filter that has small leaks around the in and out fittings (bulkheads). Over the years the slab the filter sits on has sunk down a few inches so it no longer sits flat on the slab. One side of the filter rests on a rock wall also so it doesn't completely lie...

Leaking chlorinator tube on Rainbow 320

This is on an in-line Rainbow 320 chlorinator. I have a leaking OD 5/8" chlorinator tube that connects from the chlorinator control valve down to the main piping. It has a metal spring around it. I have located a replacement part and it looks like a fairly simple job. My question is, other than...

    Autofill valve leaking

You are correct, I removed the valve and the threading had been stripped in a couple of areas (who knows how, maybe at install or pre-install). I managed to apply enough teflon tape to stop the leak now, and have ordered a replacement valve from the manufacturer. Thanks for the replies.

    Autofill valve leaking

Here is a pic. The leak can be seen by my finger where the metal valve meets the plastic fitting. The plastic fitting does not appear to have any cracks. So the metal valve actually screws out? I tried but it wouldn't budge.

    Autofill valve leaking

I have an autofill valve that is constantly running. Its a toilet float type. The leak is around where the brass/metal valve is encased by the plastic/rubber grommet type fitting. Any ideas on how to repair? Thanks
