Where? Pool Math app, enter CYA of 45, select SLAM and it tells me SLAM Target FC: 18

FYI pool was never green, just got clouding. How can you say I didn't add enough chlorine? I stayed well above the SLAM of 18 CC for along time. What's the longest SLAM that you know of and is reasonable? Do you just SLAM forever no matter what? What is the point where it turns to insanity...

I'm happy to report when the FC dropped to 22 the CC dropped to 0.5 just as you predicted!

Note on the CC, it has been 0.5 three times, 1.5 twice, 1 four times (I wasn't always testing for it) during the SLAM but the 0.5s were when I was fighting to get the FC up to SLAM levels. I'll continue the SLAM through today and take a final OCLT tomorrow and they do as you suggest. Thanks...

Thanks for your honest feed back Dave. I thought my chlorine use was insane as well and my pocket book confirms this. I'll continue the SLAM though this week as the consumption has leveled off (adding cups of chlorine not gallons. woot woot!). FYI the pool passed the OCLT but CC is still 1.

I was thinking the same about it not coming out, unfortunately the algae is on the inside of the light, not outside. :(

New update, we swam today for the first in over a week so I closely inspected my small pool light. There is a chip on the edge and I can see green stuff inside it. Looks nasty. Could this be my problem child? If so what do I do about it? Paul

Ok so I crunched the numbers based on my log and my target FC of 28. Since 8/6 to today the average daily FC consumption has been 24. Here is the break down. 8/6: 50 8/7: 46 8/8: 33 8/9: 30.5 8/10: -3.5 (I had a net gain!) 8/11: 2 8/12: 10.5 with two readings today.
