My Hayward aquarite control panel has the check salt and inspect cell lights on. I am getting a 0 instant salinity reading when I move the switch from off to auto. My cell is one 1 year old. Is there anyway I can troubleshoot the components of the board or anyway to tell if my cell is bad?

I bought this test kit but and confused on how to check the results. It comes with 2 cards that have the same colors. I’m not sure how I should be holding the time to get the readings. Anyone have any insight? Do I look through the cloudy side of the tube? I can’t find clear instructions anywhere.

Last question, if my the Taylor kit does show high phosphates do you recommend a good phosphate remover.

My father In law swears it’s the phosphates. I tend to follow the tfp method and not listen to him. Do the high phosphates play any role here?

So I have algae on my walls every other day I brush It off and my chemistry is Close to balanced. Maybe Fc is on the low end for that CYA. People say phosphates don’t matter but they are around 2500 which is high. Any help would be great. I am currently raising the Fc to a target of 6. Numbers...

I just open the pool yesterday and there is zero free Choorine and my CYA a is at 30. According to the CYA/FC chart for a saltwater pool I should be around 60. So should I use stabilize Chlorine pucks to get my FC and CYA up with the same product or should I Use liquid chlorine and CYA...
