Ok. I created a signature which includes the information about my pool. Approx 16x32 ft pool / 22,000 gallons, plaster, Pentair VS pump 342001, with Hayward DE filter, no heater or automatic pool cleaner. I need guidance on programming the settings on the pump- speed/duration/time of day, etc.

I don't have any water features or anything like that, and I am all for saving some money. I just wonder why a 2 hp was installed with the pool. Does it matter the size of the filter, and did I figure my gallons correctly?
