Home with 16k Generator getting Hot Tub - load shedding question

Thanks for the replies. Why would a load shed box be required, when both the Generator, and Hot Tub have their own breakers? The breaker would trip before any damage is done to the generator. It seems redundant, unnecessary, but I am no electrician.

Home with 16k Generator getting Hot Tub - load shedding question

I have a whole house 16k Generac (70A breaker) with automatic switch, and I am considering getting a J385 hot tub which requires a 60A line. The question I have is, do I need to add a load shedding box for the hot tub to prevent damage to my generator? Or is it a non issue? I read that the...

Sunrise Spas - No Foam, No Wood

Came across Sunrise Spas watching Youtube Reviews on different hot tubs, and was impressed with this brand as they don't use expansion foam and use metal frames instead of wood. Seems like a big improvement and wondering why other brands don't do this as well? Anyone have an opinion on...

10ft x 8ft space to work with, which hot tub should I buy?

The LSX 900 was recommended to me by a friend, and after reviewing it looks like a pretty awesome hot tub...and would fit in my space.

10ft x 8ft space to work with, which hot tub should I buy?

It is an 11' x 8'6" brick paver pad with a pool fence on the west, brick wall on the east, floor to ceiling window on the south, and open to the north.

10ft x 8ft space to work with, which hot tub should I buy?

I want to utilize this space to the fullest, and get a large hot tub. Are there certain brands that specialize in larger hot tubs? Any recommendations? I do not want to get a swim spa.

Pump leak between basket and front of motor

Just changed out this o ring - and my pump must be old because my o ring was a normal o ring, not the double ribbed one in the parts list. Either way it stopped the water leak, but not the air leak unfortunately. Been chasing this air leak for years...this was one of the last things i had...

Pump leak between basket and front of motor

Thank you, and I think I might have this part actually in an old repair kit I bought back when I replaced my shaft seal. I am now also wondering if this is the cause of the air leak I have been trying to track down...since it is in front of the impeller on the suction side technically, it could...

Pump leak between basket and front of motor

I have a slow leak dripping in the area indicated by the red arrow in the attached pic. Right by where the 4 bolts are that attach the pump basket to the rest of the pump. Is there an o ring in this area that might need to be changed out, or is this the shaft seal? I did just change the shaft...

Raypak RP 2100 heater - plugs not removed?

What about the plugs? It is really bad that they were left in? Or might the heater be ok? My hope was to take care of this 'potential' issue before opening the pool. If I open the pool and have a nasty leak then I have an emergency on my hands that I have to take care of asap. I live on a...

Raypak RP 2100 heater - plugs not removed?

I had a pool company close my pool last year, and yesterday I realized that the 2 plastic plugs for the heater (older Raypak 2100, dark green metal exterior, probably 15-20 years old) were still in place. I am not sure if they undid the plugs for an hour or 2 while they were here, and put them...

Never seen anything like this…what would you do?

Thanks again for the reply. I believe 2 of the 3 drains are hooked together to prevent entrapment (like the othe rgentleman said earlier), and the third drain is separate. One is a loop for the jets pump, the other for the heat/filter pump. So there are really only 2 drains…2 are tied...

Never seen anything like this…what would you do?

Thanks for the reply! To be fair, I Cant be certain the drains are the source of the leaks…in fact it rained here yesterday and the drains are now full with water…and have stayed full for a full day. If the drains were leaking wouldn’t all that rainwater run out of the spa through the leak(s)...
