    IntelliPro pump issue

Is this a common issue, to have the electronics (the drive) go after just a few years? The pump is only 3-4 years old and the pool company just told me its $1500 to replace the drive. I looked online and the replacement is easy to do but it doesn't save me much since the part alone is about...

    IntelliPro pump issue

After getting almost 20 years out of our original pump it finally gave up the ghost and we had our pool company install a new IntelliPro VSF pump about 3-4 years ago. This week we opened the pool and the display screen was dead. I can use the egg timer buttons to turn the pump on for about 8...

Liner Lock - Does it make a difference?

Thanks for the info. I’m going to insist they do the liner lock if they want us to pay the outstanding balance.

Liner Lock - Does it make a difference?

We have an inground cement wall pool with a vinyl liner that we have had for 21 year. Its a 30,000 gallon "mountain lagoon" shape (looks like Mickey Mouse with one stunted ear). We just had the liner replaced for the second time. The first liner had no liner lock and started to pull out at the...

Polaris is moving very slow - Is it the Polaris or the booster pump?

Thanks. I did not know that about pumps. I'll take the Polaris apart and see if there is an internal problem. I already connected the hose directly to a return and the water seemed to pass through with sufficient force so I dont think its the hose

Polaris is moving very slow - Is it the Polaris or the booster pump?

We have a Polaris 380 that is about 3 years old. It connects to a port in the pool which when not in use serves as another return. That port also gets output from a booster pump meant to power the Polaris. The booster pump is about 20 yrs old though. It has always worked well but this year after...

    Heater problem

I think I found the problem. The ribbon that connects the membrane pad to the control board is torn on the end near the pad and three of the wires in the ribbon are broken. They must have done this in their rush to remove the board when they stole it. I am ordering a new pad. Hopefully that will...

    Heater problem

Its funny you mention that. The pad always had an LED display and this year I noticed its an LCD. I wasn’t sure if that was changed out when they replaced the control board last year but I didn’t remember that being done. Now im wondering if they stole the membrane pad too and then replaced it...

    Heater problem

Thanks. I examined the wires and aside from some dirt they appear intact. I would have to take off the housing to follow them all to their origin so maybe ill do that. There is a jumper and I’ve trued it on both positions but it didnt seem to change anything

    Heater problem

Maybe this is a crazy idea but if the person who stole the control board also stole another component (sensor or something else? ) would that explain what's happening?

    Heater problem

No. The heater is turned on manually. There is no automated equipment attached to our pool

    Heater problem

After those codes come up the screen goes blank and the board is unresponsive to any inputs.

    Heater problem

We have an in-ground pool with a Max E Therm 400 heater. Last year the heater wasn't working. It turned out we needed a new control board which was replaced at a cost of $975. This year we needed a new pump and had the same company back to do the work but when three weeks went by and after...
