    First Summer with SWG

Funny you mentioned the taste thing. I've been researching that myself. We've only swam a couple times because the weather cooled back down, but the kids were complaining about the salt taste. Then my wife got in and said she couldn't even taste it. I've read some people are more sensitive...

    First Summer with SWG

Just thought I would weigh in as this was my first season with a SWG as well. I had many of the same results you had initially. I measured salt before running the pump to see how many bags of salt I needed to buy. I had a measurement of 1000 (using Taylor kit) which I thought was really high...

    Chlorine Keeps Going Up

I use a speed stir...don't usually have that problem. Not ruling anything out though. I'll test with a new kit tomorrow.

    Chlorine Keeps Going Up

It was stored in a drawer inside the house. Just checked the expiration. The powder still looks white but the exp date is 01/22. The drops expire 06/22. I'll Amazon some more in.

    Chlorine Keeps Going Up

I hit the off button on the SWG, no lights have been on since then. The CORE series only has 4 settings, 25,50,75,100. I actually just now unplugged it to ensure no power was getting there. I know this sounds crazy, I'm an Engineer by profession and understand this stuff pretty well lol. The...

    Chlorine Keeps Going Up

I feel stupid for even asking this, but can a SWG produce chlorine even when its turned off?? I installed a brand new CircuPool CORE55 system a couple weeks ago. Got my chlorine levels up to the breaking point where it held good with the OCT. Using a Taylor kit with fas-dpd chlorine test kit...

How big to go with my SWG?

Thanks. I'll start with it running all the time with the pump. It only has 25% increments. I'll play with it a bit and see if the water is getting too much of a dose. I was worried it wouldn't be good for the SWG unit to be powered all the time and abruptly switched on and off with the pump...

How big to go with my SWG?

I ended up purchasing a CircuPool CORE-55. We have some tree's and such around our pool so we've always found it best to run our pump 24/7 and it only has 1 speed. So my I guess my question is 2-fold... Should I wire the SWG directly inline with the pump so they switch on and off together...

How big to go with my SWG?

So I've finally decided to take the plunge and switch over to a salt water pool. I have a 16x32 inground vinyl pool that goes from 3 to 8 foot. So by my calculation, 16 x 32 x (5.5 avg depth) x 7.5 = 21,120 gallons. I really like the new CircuPool CORE series SWGs because they are so...
