My pool was "serviced" yesterday but some yo-yo who was at the wrong house! (He was supposed to go next door and came to my house while I wasn't home).
He left a bill for $75, told my neighbor when he asked what all he did to the pool, he replaced some fittings and siliconed a few things and...
We have never closed our pool. We had one winter with a freak storm of 24 inches of snow and sub freezing temp for a week or more. We had no power for 5 days. As soon as the power went out, we drained the filter and hoped for the best. We had no damage, thank goodness. Highly unusual for our...
While swimming one day last year I noticed a little head peaking above the water line in the skimmer....sure enough it was a snake...! So I too check the skimmer and the pool before I enter.
Laugh if you wish but better to have snake on his merry way else where than swimming in close proximity...
Our equipment was poorly placed as well, due to our ignorance and electric access etc.
Our first screening was made of lattice that looked like an ugly lattice box. We left the lattice box in place and installed curved top fence panels around it. Noise is much less and it with shrubbery, it...
I love our Blue Pearl. We too have lots of trees, pollen and sand and even with the silt bag the Polaris just moved the small stuff around. The Blue Pearl gets all of it.
I'm with you Anna...my idea of clean has changed alot!
I have been trying to keep up with the dust, dirt and pollen in this drought ridden state of NC. I have been about to wear my robot out running it daily!
My new philosophy is that if numbers are good and no slimy feel...I'm happy!
I leave mine in overnight, (battery runs down during the night). I take it out in the morning, plug it in and it is ready to go in time for the next night.
I would guess it lasts 5 hrs??? Not really sure, but it lasts long enough for what we want.
I take a quick peak in the skimmer and around the pool every time now because my husband told me when I had similar experience...
"There is enough water in the pool for you and a little snake to swim together.. y'all work it out!!"
(Meaning he didn't want to get the little critter out...
As my husband always says "motors are plugged in ...engines are not!! " He gets really disturbed when NASCAR drivers talk about the "motors" in their cars.
So maybe there is now an engine for pools, using gasoline?????? LOL :P
Because we have pets and it is supposed to be safer for them, we use Sevin dust. We sprinkle it around the edge of the pool and around the foundation of our house. It keeps the creepy stuff out. We apply it several times a season.
