    Air in the system

Could this be why I’m getting the “no flow” light while pump is running. Not enough straight pipe before the sensor?

    Air in the system

Thank you. I actually checked all the unions and the one right before the pump was loose but wasn’t dripping only saw some drops when I turned system off. No more air. Now my salt cell is reading No Flow

    Air in the system

Hello everyone. I’ve had a successful 3 years of pool maintenance thanks to TFP. I had my patio redone last year and had new plumbing installed to replace the original plumbing so also had the equipment re piped. I finally turned everything on yesterday and air would not purge out of the system...

    New home with a pool

Thanks to TFP I am getting the hang of it. I've been running the pump 8 hours a day swg was at 20% and fc today is at 9 so I turned it down a bit. It hasn't been sunny so I'm assuming that's something you adjust as the weather changes? FC. 9 PH. 7.5 CYA. 70 TA. 80 CH. 75 salt 3200

I brought the ph down and added more stabilizer trying to creep up to 70. Chlorine is at 9.5 so I still have the swg off. Is that ok to do and turn it back on when it's at 4-6?

Ok will do. Is it normal for it to rise with swg or more so because pump and swg has been running non stop since Saturday

    New home with a pool

I added 11 40lb bags of salt on Saturday. Checked yesterday morning and Salt was at 3000 so I added 2 more bagsbut didn't check fc and today it is at 3600. I also turned swg on Saturday night and set to 50% with pump running to circulate. Fc is at 12 and ph is at 8.2. Today is also raining and...

    New home with a pool

FC was 3 and remained there from last night till now (6am). I'm assuming I can start adding salt slowly and then I would also need to bring cya up to 70?

    New home with a pool

Ok so here's where I am now. FC-3.5 CYA-35 PH-7.5 CH-75 TA-70 ill do the oclt test tonight. I will recheck fc when it's dark out and right before sun comes up again? Should pump be running during that time? It is off now if all is good in the morning do I have the green light to add the salt...

    New home with a pool

Ok I'll keep it up. The pool company brought the salt today but I told them I would put in when I am sure pool is ready for it correct? That'll be the next round walking me through how to properly put the salt in

    New home with a pool

Checked again this morning and FC is at 5. CC is 0. Could I have done something wrong yesterday? CYA is at 25 and there's a little more stabilizer to be dissolved. Pool company is coming tomorrow to add the salt and he told me not to raise chlorine any more because it will damage the cell?

    New home with a pool

Ok so added bleach and I hung 2 paint strainers from the skimmer caps with about 2lbs of stabilizer in each one. I've been going out and squeezing them every hour or so. I'll leave pump running and check tomorrow?
