How To Install New Pool Returns

Thanks, Ted. I am going to sketch my plan and attach it to my next Reply. I have an eyeball that will work nicely, but it requires a female adaptor. What is an F/A, female adaptor? To prepare for new Diamond-Brite to be applied in the future, I am inclined to go with a raw pipe. Now would...

How To Install New Pool Returns

Ted, I installed a Jandy 2" 3-way valve between the filter and the "in-floor valve". The 3rd port goes to the return, so I can select the return or the floor cleaning system. I am going to drill the hole a bit larger to accommodate the hydraulic cement/epoxy. I do have a core drill rig so...

How To Install New Pool Returns

Scott, Thanks for the info. I have installed a Paramount 9-port valve (2 "mushrooms"), and the returns are plumbed to 1 of the ports. I core-drilled a 2" hole, but opted not to use the EZInlet. Can you offer some instruction on how to install the pipes with mortar and epoxy? How large a...

How To Install New Pool Returns

The returns will be fed from one of the zone outputs of the in-floor valve. In addition, there will be a valve to select either the returns or the in-floor system.

How To Install New Pool Returns

My pool has a floor cleaning system but no wall returns. I want to install 2 returns. Can anyone offer suggestions about how best to plumb the PVC? There is an impressive video on youtube about the EZINLET. This appears to be the best way to go. _________________ 14,000 gallon pool-spa...

    Wet Niche Conduit

Thanks! By the way, while digging around the spa with a shovel, the 1" coupler attaching a conduit elbow to the stub-out from the spa slipped off. That doesn't happen with properly glued conduit. Apparently the pool builder (Venetian Custom Pool and Spa) ran out of glue and decided to use PVC...

    Wet Niche Conduit

After removing the light fixture from my spa, I noticed there is no seal to prevent water intrusion into the niche (probably why it's called a "wet niche"). That also means the 1" conduit will always be filled with water - up to the water level of the spa, which is about 2' below the...
