    Possible Calcium Deposits

Hi - I have what looks like a calcium deposit in a corner of my pool as well as some spots on the horizontal surfaces. I did a SLAM a few weeks ago and have targeted FC to 5 to 7 since it was complete. Do I hit these with pumice stone? Anything else I should think about or being concerned with...

    Now what? Amatuer electrician

Ended up electrical taping after splicing Fortunately, it seems like the plastic enclosures will help keep it together It is working fine again!

Having to SLAM every 4-6 weeks?

Yeah, could be. I do either a FAS/DPD or the chlorine/ph guess the color test every other day or so. Gonna get on a more regular daily schedule after the SLAM is done to see whats up.

    Now what? Amatuer electrician

Polaris p825. Floating cable got chewed, severing 2 of the 3 wires near the control unit. Stripped the wires and when I twist them together, i get power. i could splice them with electrical caps but will have to ensure it lives under cover and isnt ever out in weather. Cant figure out a way to...

Having to SLAM every 4-6 weeks?

Thanks all. SLAM in progress. I pulled out the pool light and scrubbed like heck. I always do the skimmer, hinge door, etc. Only last thing that is possible is under the two drain covers. Do I have to get in there too? Really hope not to have to go diving but I have done it before :) The...

Having to SLAM every 4-6 weeks?

Howdy, Wanted to see whether this is to be expected or not. Over the last year and a half, algae has appeared in the darker corners of the pool and on the steps about 4-6 weeks after a SLAMming. Under normal conditions, our FAC using the SWG is between 4 and 6 every time I test, morning, noon...

Janky Jandy - Things randomly turning on and off

Nice to not feel so alone @PoolGate :) Just realized that we used to have a 4-button switch that was removed from a poolhouse wall. So there is likely a cut wire somewhere that could be causing the problem. I'll get my shovel and/or try to figure out how to disconnect it from the control box...

Janky Jandy - Things randomly turning on and off

Howdy! I ran the pool in Aqualink manual service mode after opening in April. Recently moved it to auto and noticed the programs were working but every once in awhile the pool light or blower turned on randomly. When I have the system in "Service" or "Time Out" mode, I do not get any random...

Loud AquaRite SWG after board replacement

I'm not sure this was it but after having some SWG issues lingering, I discovered that it was set for t-3 instead of t-15. I'm not sure when that started but since them, it has been less loud and hummy. Thanks for your ideas newdude. I lined the edges with electrical tape which helped too.

Pressure low -> new gauge helped -> still more to do?

Thanks for the insight Jim, 1) The water stays in the basket overnight after pump is off. It always appears full. 2) No, not really 3) No #2 is the only one that isn't a definite no. I don't hear anything while standing next to the equipment. When I put my ear against the DE filter, I hear...

Pressure low -> new gauge helped -> still more to do?

Good evening, I have a 28k gal pool with SWG. It has been running at a pressure reading of ~5 psi all summer. All pool readings including Chlorine (4), pH (7.5), Alk, CYA (50) etc. have been right in range all summer and water looks and feels great. Yesterday, I replaced several o-rings and...
