Too much pressure/leak from top mount

Have you gotten you pressure gauge to work? If so, what is the pressure when the pump is on? You may need to inspect a little closer to determine where you leak is. I had a filter that the vessel cracked right where the clamp is applied and I thought for awhile it was my clamp too.

Too much pressure/leak from top mount

Welcome to tfp, jawb903:wave: What is your pressure gauge reading? What does it read when the pump is off? What pump (make and model) do you have?

want to up upgrade for intex pump/filter

Welcome to tfp, goats:wave: Many people have had great luck with the intex 2650 sand filter. Your pool should be fine with the higher flow rate.

Hey JVTrain, do you have a Fleetfarm near you? $10 for 4 gallons of 12.5% here (twin cities). It is almost always that price there.

Cold water coming into hot tub

Maybe I am missing something, but isn't that what it should be doing? When you turn off the heat/stop using the tub the water should be coming from the pool? Which pump runs when you turn off the heat?

    Water with blue hue

Yes, get to the point where you pass the OCLT test (and 0 CC) at normal SLAM levels, then if you still suspect mustard algae, raise it up to the mustard algae slam level for 24 hours. Here is the pool school article: http://www.troublefreepool.com/content/148-mustard-algae

    AutoPilot SC-36 Pump replacement question

I agree with jbliz, unless you have some high volume water features (waterfalls, spa jets, etc.) most likely your pump is not undersized. Post the model number, or a picture of the labels if you can't find the model.

New Zodiac TRi Ph too good!

As I understand it, the percentage setting is an on/off duty cycle, not running the cell at "60% power". The life of the cell is generally dictated by how much chlorine it produces, so it would not shorten the cell life.

Using up pumps left and right....

Welcome to tfp, Darrenmv  I agree that removing the ozone (or at least turning it off) makes sense. Maybe I am under the wrong impression, but I thought ozone was supposed to be plumbed in after the pump? It would be interesting to hear if anyone knows if it can damage the pump.

Need HELP choosing salt or ozone? And other questions related to building new IG poo

Welcome to tfp, Skater  I second what Brushpup said about ozone and chlorine. Skip the ozone (and UV) since they are not needed in a typical outdoor residential pool. As for the "chlorine smell", if you "smell" it, that generally means you are not maintaining your pool chemistry...

    I Think I Want a New Pump & Filter...Help Me Decide

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about the lake unless your municipality doesn't allow it since the amount of water/chlorine/salt you will be backwashing is/should be a small amount. I would just let the output be a little ways from the edge of the lake so that the water runs along the ground for a ways.
