Thought I would re-start this thread instead of a new one, but my question is similar in a way. I installed a new pump last month, previous one was a twice re-build 1HP Hayward (I bought this house after all re-builds). The previous "normal" PSI was around 12. Now with the newly installed pump...

Got it going. Thanks for your responses. Contacted the previous owner and confirmed it was 230v. Made the switch on the pump back to the factory 230 and re-installed 14/2 wire and boom. Runs like a dream. Thanks again.

Checked that. Maybe I made an assumption on 110? The motor runs through a timer box that's 110, so it would have to be all 110 correct? One breaker...wire gauge already in there is 14....which according to the manual is recommended for 230....confused.

Pump wouldn't start. Checked connections - thought there was maybe one loose one, corrected it...still nada.
