    30i Stops in Water

After watching LeisureLuke's video on repairing his motor, I pulled my motor apart to see if there were any bearing issues or anything else that didn't look right. The bearings appear fine, but there is this hard gunk on the power connector. Has anyone seen this when taking the motor apart? I'm...

    30i Stops in Water

I have a Dolphin 30i that is out of warranty and only works for a couple of minutes at a time. If I turn it upside down outside the pool, it will run and run. If I then put it in the pool, it usually works for a few minutes, then stops. If I put it in manual mode, it works as expected. I...

Leak in pipe and around this valve

I got on the roof over the weekend and inspected it as kadavis suggested. I didn't see anything, but i moved whatever parts I could find and it seemed to fix the problem, at least for now. I was surprised to find that it was not a Helicol breaker, but one used mainly in irrigation, an AV-010...

Leak in pipe and around this valve

I may have a faulty Heliocol vaccum break as well. The replacement is $80, which seems like a lot of money. Is there any reason I can't use a different brand breaker valve, as long as it has a 3/4" connection? This brass model is $24 and available at Home Depot... Eastman 3/4 in. MIP Vacuum...

    Reason for location of SWG?

Thanks for the responses everyone. Poolsean, was the SWG before or after the filter on the one you mention? bobodaclown, I think I found the valve you mentioned. I've attached a couple of pics. The bottom line is that if the SWG location is dangerous, I'll figure out a way to move it, but if...

    Reason for location of SWG?

Thanks. Is the hydrogen buildup one of those theoretical problems or have systems actually caught fire/exploded from having the SWG in the wrong order?

    Reason for location of SWG?

Any thoughts on how I can get the SWG in the right location, preferably without having to re-plumb the entire setup? Thanks.

    Reason for location of SWG?

Thanks for the information! Here is a pic of my setup. The SWG is below the incoming filter line. After the SWG is the automatic valve that diverts the water to the solar panels and the pool return lines are on the left.

    Reason for location of SWG?

Hi, When we had our pool solar installed a few years ago, they installed it after the existing filter and SWG, like this... Pump-Filter-SWG-Solar-Pool I've since learned that the SWG should be after the filter and the solar. I may replace my SWG soon and putting it anywhere other than were...

Polaris AutoClear Plus Run Time Not Working

I kept searching and answered my own question. I'll post it here in case it can help someone else in the future. I found a Polaris troubleshooting guide and this is what it says... AUTO CYCLE Light If the light does not activate: 1. Press RESTART CYCLE and the UP arrow at the same time. 2. Set...

Polaris AutoClear Plus Run Time Not Working

Hi All, No matter what I set the run time to on my AutoClear Plus, when it starts a new cycle set at 24 hours and doesn't countdown, so it is always running when powered on. Also, the Auto Cycle light that indicates it is using the run time is off. I've searched for any mentions of this problem...
