Salt level confusion with Aquarite T-Cell-15

How do you determine "instant salinity" and "actual salinity"?

Salt level confusion with Aquarite T-Cell-15

Thankfully the water temp is cold and dropping ... and CA rainy season is approaching. that will help with the transition!

That was my guess. Which data leads you to that conclusion?

Salt level confusion with Aquarite T-Cell-15

This summer, my 16K gallon pool began consuming salt at a higher than usual rate (+30-50%). Added a bag of salt each time the panel reading got to 2800 or less. I now have concerns about the reliability of the system salt reading. The cell is older (>10 years), but it usually runs clean. I...

Aquarite Not generating - lights not on

One other comment about removing / replacing the AS32 2R025 current limiter. I found that a 25w soldering iron was insufficient to melt the solder either during the desoldering or soldering steps. The leads on the AS32 2R025 are beefy copper, and act as a great heat sink. I ended up using a...

+1 for solving my Aqua-Rite problem with the thermistor replacement solution. Thank you for saving me a new board! Mine took the AS32 2R025 part.

    Pentair using less efficient motors?

I recently replaced a Pentair WhisperFlo 1.5hp WFE-6 (Model 011514) single speed, circa 2000, with a Pentair WhisperFlo 1.5/0.19hp WFDS-6 (Model 011512) two speed. One very noticeable difference between the two pumps is how much hotter the WFDS-6 motor runs. Higher case temperature (touching...

Tips requested on how best to clean pump strainer basket

Jason ... I'll give that a try ... I just always assumed with a full cartridge filter standing taller than the pump and with the strainer basket completely full of water, I need to drain first. If this works, I definitely got what I was looking for by asking the question. Thx.

Tips requested on how best to clean pump strainer basket

Follow up question on the multiport diverter valve. Mine is operated by a Compool automation system with an electric actuator. I can manually override to set the valve in any position. However, it looks like the three positions are <pool suction><both suction><spa suction>. There does not appear...

OK, I'll give it a try (with a mop handy). Thanks for the advice.

Tips requested on how best to clean pump strainer basket

I have a cartridge filter. Why wouldn't I still have to bleed? The strainer basket is full to the cover, and I'm not dying to try the experiment of pulling it off when completely full and having gallons spill over. Or does a vacuum in the filter prevent that problem?

Tips requested on how best to clean pump strainer basket

My current method to clean debris from the pump strainer basket is to turn off the pump circuit breaker, slowly vent the filter until there is no more air draw, and then take off the strainer basket cover and clean out the basket. The problem with my method is that inevitably there is some...
