I have been cutting up pieces of pool noodles and corking the hole and it’s worked great (and cheap!!). I simply unplug when we have lots of rain. I have to replace the cut piece every month or two but this is the best solution we’ve tried.

When I test my chlorine with FAS-DPD and slowly drop the liquid in until it turns clear, if I wait 5-10 seconds afterwards, it turns light pink again to where I could put 1-2 more drops in again to get it clear. Is this normal? Which result do I go with? The one that intitially turned it clear...

I am starting a slam since this algae *keeps coming back* slam after slam… This time around I’m planning on ending this slam with mustard algae slam levels to try and nip this in the bud so it won’t come back. But I’m curious if you can help identify if this truly is mustard algae from the pics...

When doing the Slam, would I need to scrub this every day? Or would once in the beginning be enough? Or should I also do it on the last day when I increase FC to mustard algae levels?

I know this may be a silly question, but the light cover can be removed without lowering the pool water level below it, correct? Is there a risk of electrical shock or is the light/wiring still covered even when taking off the protective cover?
