Help! Almost out of FAS-DPD and need to stretch it out

I am finishing my SLAM by increasing it to mustard algae levels for 24 hours. However, it looks like I will run out of my FAS-DPD reagent before I am done testing the chlorine I have another bottle coming but it won’t be here in time…

Can I stretch out the little I have left my diluting my water samples 50/50 with pool water and non-chlorinated water? Then doubling my results to get a fairly accurate chlorine read??

You can use distilled water. Not tap water, it has chlorine in it. Your error increases to +/- 4 drops.
