Hayward Heater Problems no Error Codes

I haven't touched the flame sensor but will definitely try that today. Thank you.

Hayward Heater Problems no Error Codes

The hum absolutely was the blower. I got a replacement under warranty from Hayward and the one they sent me was worse than the one I had. The squirrel cage rubbed up against the housing and got stuck several times. The shaft was cockeyed. But that's another story. I do NOT have an error...

Hayward Heater Problems no Error Codes

Question: If the heat exchanger had a blockage or some issue where it would cause the heater to overheat and shut down....roughly how long would this take?? I ask because I can get the heater to function properly for roughly 14 minutes ( 60 degrees here in Texas). Then it shuts down...

Hayward Heater Problems no Error Codes

Great, thanks! I finally had some time to check the orifices and everything seems to be clean. Here's an update: Today I started the heater and it worked fine for about 8 minutes. After about 1 minute from starting, I heard the hum again which you can hear in the link to the video I...

Hayward Heater Problems no Error Codes

I recently replaced the combustion blower on my Hayward H250. The heater turns on fine, ignites with no problem, but then the heater shuts down after about 5 minutes. During the time its on, and after it warms up a bit, the heater makes a faint humming noise. Then it shuts down with no error...

Hayward H250 IDL AO Error Code

The heater is connected to 220 volts and the motor I just replaced it with is the 240 volt version. I just swapped out the motors.

Hayward H250 IDL AO Error Code

I just replaced the combustion blower motor in my Hayward H250 IDL. The old when made some funny noises then just quit altogether. When it quit, I did NOT have the AO error. LED display was normal and the heater just hummed on start up but no blower. Now after replacing the blower with...

Polaris 280 quick disconnect too loose

Thanks I did replace the wall fitting and it works great. I have an older 280 and compared the parts. The black rubber washer around the inside part of the quick disconnect is definitely thinner than on the original. It also makes a tighter fit with the new wall fitting. So I guess its best...

Polaris 280 quick disconnect too loose

I had to replace my Polaris 280 quick disconnect and the pressure relief valve. I needed two hands to turn and disconnect the old one. The new one just pops right on very easily. The problem is its too loose and when I turn on the pump it disconnects itself from the wall fitting. Am I...

    Booster pump not working

UPDATE: First let me say that I know virtually nothing about electrical other than to turn off the breaker before touching wires. With that said - I had a friend stop over earlier today to take a look at the connections and wiring. He knows a lot more than I do. :) Anyway, he tested all of...

    Booster pump not working

I can turn the shaft. Just wondering how this thing suddenly died with no previous indication.

    Booster pump not working

I finally got the back cover off the motor and it's definitely getting power. The motor is completely dead, no noise, humming or anything. When my pool pump went last year it made squealing noises before it died. This booster pump just stopped, no warning. Any suggestions?

    Booster pump not working

I was wrong. The pump was installed in 2004 and may have been rebuilt once. Definitely have power at all the contact points within the timer, but can't get the back cover off of the pump. The bottom screw is all rusted, stripped and flaking. I tried just about everything, can't get it off...
