I've read quite a bit over the years here. Which chemical would have killed the phosphates cheaper? I've read plenty about the cya test in stores, it should be performed on a sunny day, however only reason I'm considering theirs to have a chance at being accurate is because theirs was 100%...

Well, I did do the phosphate remover and this weekend I didn't experience that chalky feel. According to them my stabilizer was higher, CYA 86.

This happened the first year I had a cover on. I've pressure washed, scrubbed with a cleaner for patio, I get very little change. Any ideas how to fix this? It's literally the outline of the cover.

Moved from here. Opened my pool this year, had a small leak and had to fill with water. I'm in the exact same boat, water is balanced, chlorine has been perfect and low with the same results. Anyone ever solve this? FC 1.5 PH 7.8 TA 80 CH 330 CYA 70

So I do the FC test, turn it clear and get my result. If I let that sit, it will turn pink again in a few minutes. Is that normal? Are the results skewed in any way?

Re: Why so much hate on pool store's water test? For me the hang up is that it's using the same Taylor tests (not the exact same model) you guys recommended which is why I was confused. That said, I'm doing the tfp method all summer and we'll see how it goes.
