    Sand filter pump not working

Ok, it’s hard wired into a 15 amp breaker so we are thinking it might be 115v…we don’t know much about electrical but think 115 is a best guess.

    Sand filter pump not working

We aren’t sure whether it’s 115V or 230V, I’m so sorry. Is there a way to find that information? The pump number is on this picture we believe. It’s the only other numbers on our equipment. Is this right?

    Sand filter pump not working

Last backwash was a week ago. The gauge was reading normal. It’s a sand filter. The motor is whining and making a grinding noise if that helps at all? He checked and there doesn’t appear to be any debris in the impeller. We were testing our water using our testing kit (TF-100) up until a few...

    Sand filter pump not working

Hi! We have a pentair 1HP sand filter pump that is no longer working for our inground pool. It’s old. My husband took the lid off and the motor appears corroded. He can get it to turn on for a few minutes and then it just stops. Is it possible to just replace the motor itself or do we need to...

That’s it!!! You are amazing! Any ideas on next step? Is there a gasket in there or does it just need tightened?

Think we have a suction problem

Thank you! We didn’t realize there was a gasket. We just pulled it and it’s cracked. We will lube it and lube the plugs also.

Think we have a suction problem

Thank you for the article! We followed this. Found the O ring was cracked. Got a new one and lubed it. The pump took forever to prime, did a great job for about 15 minutes when it finally started going and then the return jets started sputtering again. When we pour water over the pump lid it...

Think we have a suction problem

Hi all!! We have an in ground pool with a sand filter pump. This year after opening we are having a problem with the pump and don’t know where to start looking to correct the issue. Sand was replaced last year. Checked the O ring and there is no visible crack. The pump is having trouble priming...

    Planned to open today but..

Thank you all! Next week is well above freezing, in the 80's for the highs and 60's for the Lowe's. We went ahead and opened. Shockingly the water had risen so much it was only an inch from below the skimmer. We will have to keep a close eye on it next year. Only took a few hours to raise it...

    Planned to open today but..

Hey all! We had planned to open the pool today in Kansas but it is now saying the low for tonight is supposed to be 31. Not 100% sure it will be full enough by tonight to run the pump, we have low water pressure but I cant say for certain. Should we wait until tomorrow or go for it? We dont have...
