Has anyone heard of this type of Pool Enclosure I have? Starting to decay (Manufacturer should've realized metal and water don't mix)

Excellent! Thank you for this information. I had no idea they were still building these. In retrospect, I think mine is also steel-walled with a concrete base... probably near the 30 yr mark now. Either way I'm hoping it can be repaired when the next liner goes in.

"Are you referring to inground steel pool walls that are behind your liner?" Yes, the whole container is made out of metal and can only be used with vinyl liners. No one I've talked to has come in contact with one of these. The only comment was that it would "do well in an earthquake".

Hi... Here in SoCal, we have a 16'x30' in-ground Metal pool enclosure that was designed for vinyl liners. 4' Shallow end with a steep drop off to a 10' Deep end. In 2010, it had rust forming around the skimmer intake with corroded stainless screws. I replaced those and did what I could to stop...

1990s American Products R-500 BC Pool Light... Would like to find a complete LED replacement now

Hi, Over the years, I've tried twice to install a screw-in LED pool light into this fixture using new gaskets each time. Within a day or two, the fixture fills up with water and when turned on, the light is toast. I think the fixture is just too old to work with anymore. I know Pentair took...

New Pool Light Burned Out immediately... I'm assuming it was my fault?

Ok, well I finished reattaching the housing after sanding the lip with 400 grit sandpaper. I used some waterproofing sealent around the gasket once it was tightened down and let that dry overnight. This time I also used a different area for the bolt/washer/nut combination and it seemed to...

New Pool Light Burned Out immediately... I'm assuming it was my fault?

Good tips... thanks (y). The washer idea is great! The gasket is correct. I checked with another company. After the work, I'll run an underwater test overnight before attaching it to the sidewall. Glad your system is working now.

New Pool Light Burned Out immediately... I'm assuming it was my fault?

Hi... I recently changed my pool light from a 500w incandescent to a 50w LED. I ordered a new round Hayward seal and tightened it down to what I thought was satisfactory. I returned the light to the sidewall, turned it on and everything was good.. actually better than the old light. The next...
