OmniPL Chlorinator Set Point vs. Chlorinator Schedules

Good insight, thanks for the reference. Does it matter that all but one of my chlorinator schedules is off? I'm guessing I should lengthen my active chlorinator schedules?

OmniPL Chlorinator Set Point vs. Chlorinator Schedules

The pump schedules are on the screens attached previously. Thanks for your advice but it is unresponsive to my initial question: what is the relationship between the chlorinator setpoint and the schedules?

OmniPL Chlorinator Set Point vs. Chlorinator Schedules

I have 12 schedules in 2-hour increments starting at 0:00 and going to 23:59. The only schedule currently set is 16:00 - 18:00 at 1%. There is a corresponding pump schedule for each chlorination schedule (see 3 attached screenshots)

OmniPL Chlorinator Set Point vs. Chlorinator Schedules

I have schedules set up for my chlorinator and have been adjusting them downward since the FC is climbing (from 4.6pm to over 10ppm in about two weeks). However, the chlorine level keeps rising. I noticed on the Chlorinator screen in the OmniLogic app that the Set Point slider was set to 15%...

Tired of Manually Adding Liquid Chlorine

I've had our inground pool for a little over a year. I'm adept at testing and adding chemicals but would prefer not to have to handle liquid chlorine manually each day. I've read articles on Stenner pumps and understand the general concept. I've also read about chlorine degradation due to...

    New Pool Chemistry Questions

Maddie, I have neither of those. It is a comparator with two tubes and came with the Taylor K-2006C Test Kit. Here is a picture:

    New Pool Chemistry Questions

Steve, thanks for the comments. Yes, the "Inline Chlorinator" (their name, not mine] is a tablet feeder. I'm no longer using it after reading the benefits of liquid chlorine versus tablets. I'm not sure what "halogen interference" is? Could you expand on the condition? I'm happy to try it!

    New Pool Chemistry Questions

@ajw22, thanks for your comments. As to the retesting: I have been waiting for several hours to allow the pump to mix the MA thoroughly. I wasn't aware that I should test again that soon. I'll try that, as well as your PoolMath strategy.

    New Pool Chemistry Questions

@mknauss, thanks for your multiple comments. Yes, I know about reading the pH from the color comparator. However, as noted in my reply to @ajw22, the scale only goes to 8.0 and it can take me up to 15 drops to get it back to a matching color. I also understand that UV and ozone aren't for...

    New Pool Chemistry Questions

@ajw22, Yes, I have the color comparator that comes with the Taylor Test Kit. When I add the 5 drops, the color is much, much, more red/purple than the highest reading (8.0). It can take up to 15 drops of the reagent to get it to one of the colors on the comparator. So after that, I know how...

    New Pool Chemistry Questions

One other issue: when I use my Taylor test kit, I sometimes get a reading of FC=0, even after double the amount of reagent. I find this hard to believe; even my tap water turns the reagent "red".
