Any suggestions? I'm beyond perplexed and think I must be doing something wrong..

Hi there everyone! I'm on my 6th day of the SLAM process -(Technically my 15th day , but my first 7 days were wasted because I thought my shock level was supposed to be 16 ug) - but I seem to be getting nowhere. 16.5K pebble pool Bleach for regular chlorination and shocking Cartridge...

    Is this correct? (Shock process)

Thanks for the replies and help! The app is called "PoolCalc." I've had it for quite a while. Maybe time to get the PoolMath app. ;) Keepin FC at 20 now for the SLAM. Finger's crossed. 🤞

    Is this correct? (Shock process)

Oh NO!!! ! I was going by the recommended numbers in the Pool Calc App. Didn't think they would be incorrect. Guess the app needs an update. Thanks for the info. I'll bump up the FC.

    Is this correct? (Shock process)

Hi there! I'm currently shocking my pool (16,500 gal/ pebble). CYA is at 50. I've been maintaining shock level at 16ppm, but I'm literally on my 7th day and still losing about 2ppm each night. Filter running continuously - except for about 1/2 hour yesterday so I could clean out the filter...

    Leak

Hi everyone, I have an old (Prob 35+ years) Purex 36 sq ft. DE canister (aluminum) filter for my 16,000 gal pool. It's recently sprung a slow drip leak out of the bottom (can't pinpoint exactly where it's coming from). It only leaks when the pump is on, so I'm guessing there's a very small crack...

    Low Splash bleach

Hi there- I just realized I dumped about a half jug (60oz) of low-splash bleach into my pool ( 16,000 gal in-ground) pebble. I'm assuming this shouldn't harm anything, but just checking to see if this is going to cause a problem or if there is anything I need to do. Along with Sodium...

Just confirming shock reaction is normal

Hi there, I'm currently Slamming my pool (16,500 gal, pebble tech). Algae unfortunately got out of control while I was on vacation. Had high CYA as well, so needed to drain partially and re-fill. I'm just about 24 hours into the slam process. There is some improvement in the color, but the...

Question about running the filter during shocking

Question about running the filter during shocking

Hi there! Haven't had a problem for years with my pool, (follow troublefreepool program) however I guess I slipped and I have a slight bloom of green algae on the steps. Beginning shock treatment today. Just curious to know if it's absolutely essential to run the filter *continuously* during...
